    Thanks guys.
I was feeling better than I have lately & need to tear my Harley apart & was doing some cleaning up & making sure my lift was still operating normally & when I was moving things around, I found the iron. When I plugged it in & turned it on, it immediately started getting warm so I got the DMT, flipped it over & tried it. I was happy with the results so I wanted to share it with you all.

I have two irons in the trunk since March, awaiting the cessation of hospital visits. Got two so one was upside down and bottom and other was to be top. Thanks for giving us the information.

How does it work for flattening and stabilizing new horn blanks. The older blanks I cut up were stable and didn't get a bow or twist.
The newer ones are a bit humidity sensitive/ unstable.

    Thanks again!

Next there will be a run on antique irons. Would not want to piss the misses off, and the antique one seems more appropriate.

I haven't tried it yet on new horn blanks but I have some that do need it. I'll need to try it. I'll keep you all updated.

    Thank you!
The main idea was to get the fibers to "weld" together like the pressed horn of ages back.

Honed-up a few pristine Ellicotteville Burrell Top Flights a few days ago.
Got around to stropping them today.
As I was stropping, I noted how the scales sucked.
Dug in the drawer and came out with my last set of old Geneva Jack Skelton pants.
Original bluing is pristine, as is the whole blade.

Did some silver rubNbuff in the stamps and spent lots of time polishing on the scales.
Will pin it with silver rod and some of Austin's collars, some thin brass spacers.
    Gonna be nice!

Love those jazzy, striped scales for your Top Flight, Tom! That was a good call.

Decided to see if I could spin the brass, as it were. The bullets are a larger bore than what I was working with so dust of the taig and try to bias the brass inwards till I get where I need.

If your aim is to shave in a hurry, this mach3 brass baby might do the trick. 50 caliber round in the stand, Remington razor handle.

Turned a couple necklace pens for the misses and daughter tonight as well. One in olive, the other dyed box elder..magnetic closure, comes away with a tug..
