Thread: My first razor damage!

My razors never get wet beyond the moisture in the shave soap, I wipe the soap and whiskers off onto a DRY cloth and never rinse the blade. You will rarely remove all of the water from the blade , especially that around the pivot,
I agree with the others who have suggested that you get it honed, the ding needs to be removed. It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

Thanked: 1184Cancelling all bids and going scope shopping. Hope it works without mac stuff. I have 2 graphic cards duct taped together and that might do okay :<0)
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Yes the stand is very solid, I was surprised at how heavy it is for its size. The whole construction is very good for the price. Also, yes I run the latest version of firmware on both my Macbook pro and my desktop.

The scope software works fine with both the mac and windows. I have run it on my windows emulation on the mac.

Thanked: 14I actually did (almost) the same thing to my MK32 Heljestrand last week...
Thank god it didnt chip, but it did dent it like the OP's. I took it to my thuri for a quick few laps and its almost all out, but it still needs a bit more. Soooooo, as I have a cpl weeks off now, Ill probably pulling out the stones to touch a few up and hone a cpl others, in addition to making a cpls sets of scales. 1 for a buddy who (coincidentally enough dropped his as well) busted his scales, one I have that needs new ones anyway and for a cpl other loose blades i have sitting around.
