To get sorta back on to the tools track, these straight line power tools are great for blades and some scales work:
There is a Dremel equivalent. Both on the 'bay occasionally and at Hock Shops. About $20-$45
Just think, you get to make scratches along the length to offset all the scratches from rotary tools. So the grind lines disappear more quickly.
You can wrap regular papers and films around the contoured shapes that clamp into the tools.
Have fun!

Dremel makes 'em Roy. Look on the bay, they pop up. I had a new one but it had less attachments so I bought the one I have now & sold the other one for more than I paid. The one I ended up with is almost new. They don't make 'em anymore. I'm sure someone else makes 'em too. Type in Dremel model 6000.

Some are and some are not, read the ad blurb online carefully.

By the way, if you have a Harbor Freight router cord type inline speed control, they work with most any brush type universal motor.

I find uses for it often...I had a job for an antique store to refinish a 3 x 4 foot heavily engraved elliptical brass table from India. I made a hand held High speed buffer from a HF small trim router using the buffs they sell with the ¼" diameter arbor. The job paid for a lot of extra stuff!( Motorcycles...Hmmmmm!)

When I turned wrenches for Harley dealers, I took my job seriously because you're responsible for other peoples lives on two wheels. The last dealer I turned wrenches for, we had a guy there that had the attitude he knew it all. He would go around telling other techs, "I'm the best" referring to himself. They always came to me to fix his come backs because they knew I'd do it right & he had a lot of come backs. I don't think I know it all which is why I say I learn something new everyday.
