I guess I did have a COVID project, I took a bike apart down to the bolts and rebuilt the whole thing into a retro bike, only thing I didn’t do was the powder coating, engine trans and primary plus frame and paint all tins and new wiring. May as well say new bike, I had 3 months into it so it passed the time

Here’s what it looked like a few years ago with Roy showing off his drinking skills

Man, Kris! That's nucking futs! You must have twisted that around in your mind a good bit to go for it.
Wish I could see it work!

I'll try to get some video of it next time I'm playing in the shop.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Not too bad for an old broke down roughneck. Thanks my friend

Now today was a day at the doctors going over my progress. As of right now if nothing changes he’s doing the other knee June 24th, I’m ahead of his schedule. Have 95 degree flexion, and I’m at 3 degree extension, both of these numbers are an improvement, looking for 0 degrees extension and between 120-130 flexion, next week in get to do leg presses on the machine. Can navigate a couple of steps up and down. Around the house I can walk without aid. This is not for the weak mind, or body, it hurts like the dickens, but it works.

Just posted the Stair project I finished today in the "Other Thread".
    BUT,
HERE are a couple of pics of one of the big projects I HAD done. Yep, I just watched and wrote the check. OK, I didn't even write the check, but I did stand around and drink beer, comment and answer questions on what I wanted as they worked. LOL

First is from an old picture I found on the computer of the front of my house.

    Notice the Rot Iron.

Now the new driveway (same size but not broken up now), The sidewalk is 2 feet wider so we can put a bench or glider on it now, Rot Iron gone and a larger front porch made round, not square.

One of the projects on the list to do is to build a raised flowerbed from the porch over to the right side of the house. I will use those interlocking blocks. I had torn out very old Rose Bushes from there when we had all the plumbing replaced out the front of the house. I will put in new Roses. It's just something I've always enjoyed. Raising Roses.

The only issue I'm having with it is the old driveway had buckled and was a little higher in areas along the sides so my grass is now as much as 2 inches higher than the driveway in spots. They cut a slim slice out of my grass to get the forms in so now that it's done I have a couple of inches wide gap between the drive and the grass. That's understandable. They had to get the forms in. I'm hoping that by leaving it open like that the yard will slowly sink into the gap and lessen the amount of extra height the yard has on the driveway. Just along the edge.

Any comments on this? Or do you think I'm crazy and the yard isn't going to lower on the sides with watering? It's not like I have a lot of foot traffic on the grass to break it down. Maybe blast the edge of the yard/dirt with the water hose to loosen the dirt to help wash some of it into the channel left behind? I don't like leaving the gap but it's only around 2 inches wide so I'm hoping some idiot won't trip on it and try to sue. That's all I need.
