With my shaving technique, on my skin, with my patterns of beard grow, yes I have shaved with edges that shaved completely effortless, yet blemished my skin. I found those edges too sharp. But other people might have liked them. I understand that DE users have similar discussions about the different makes of blades.

    Indeed they do debate exactly that on DE forums. Oddly enough with a DE I preferred the Feather to the 'forgiving' Derby but with a straight I like a razor to be less than 'scary sharp'. When all is said and done those of us who can hone our own razors will find our comfort level and shoot for that with our razors.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
