That's my understanding too! But, for the new guys, he means that the original color was darker to start with. If you're looking at a Dubl Duck Goldedge, etc. and the scales are the cracked ice.....they started life as white. If you see them a darker yellow/brown, they're in danger or in the process of breaking down. Originally Posted by eod7

I bet the draw on that thing is as soft and smooth as silk,

So if anybody needed a decent box for their pipe razor there is a gold lined vintage one that hones and oils your razor every time you store it for sale on ebay! The seller will apparently hand deliver as well.

I will suggest that the whole strop could be ! Short but sweet pasted on one leather strap finish on the other. A simple favored strop of mine. But on the 'bay who knows! Originally Posted by eod7
