Well, I don't know where the blade was made, where the steel came from, where it was forged, who forged it, but if you want to come blindfold me you can feel free.

No point to blindfold you when you dont
know anything about the razor,right?!
I know you can hone a razor so i´m pleased
that you do the test, and that you dont
know nada about the razor.
But hey, skip the blindfold,i guess it looks rather dangerous and silly
Anyway, its gonna be exciting but i guess it will not hold an edge.
Thats my personal thougt,though.

Thanked: 7Thank you for raising this question because
1) I too was curious yet skeptical.
2) Was thinking of bidding on one and now there will be a bidding war.
Whoever outbids me, please let me know how they shave.

What a joke. If you look at the guy's 'completed items' he averaged in the $50 range for his damascus razors. The one I was watching here (Item number:320508061297) just finished at $107.00. If you want to make more $ on an item start talking it up on the forums and watch the bids increase.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 14Dylan, did you receive the razor yet? I'm curious how fast he sent it out to you.
And I was watching a couple of his other razors that just ended, both of which went for under $70 (one for $40). I don't think there is a bidding frenzy yet.

Thanked: 7This is the one I had my eye on: CUSTOM HAND MADE DAMASCUS STEEL STRAIGHT RAZOR - eBay (item 390175610839 end time Apr-03-10 09:33:23 PDT)
The title reads "CUSTOM HAND MADE DAMASCUS STEEL STRAIGHT RAZOR", and under the description after TYPE it states "Straight Razor".
This is how he's selling them on ebay, not as a knife. If they are knives they should state it on the listing, I shouldn't have to go to his website to learn that. If they are knives then some people are going to try shaving with them; I know if I bought a "Straight Razor" I would try to shave with it; and a chance to get a damascus blade (normally out of my price range), most people would jump on it. I believe this is why they are selling so well.
