Update:Ebay returned the full P/P less shipping,and gave me a 10.00 coupon.So they agreed it was a knock-off. The funny thing is I still see this guy selling razors on ebay! I don't know what to think about that. I would also like to thank all SRP members for sharing all their exp. and knowledge! It's only been a few months and most of my shaves are knick-less.

It is good that you took action. If everyone did what you did with sellers of fakes they would end up having no customers and being shut down. Let's hope that enough SRP members have seen this thread and will avoid this seller.

I suspect that Ebay returned your money After they received your complaint and took it from the seller. All is needed on Ebay is an unhappy buyer for whatever reason. I kind of doubt that the razor was sent to Ebay and their "Razor Expert" determined it was a Knock-off! Still, you got your money back. They gave you a 10.00 coupon to stimulate their business. I bet you use it! Good Luck!

You do not need to be a renowned razor expert to realise that a 'one man Henckel' from WW2 cannot be genuine. In my experience Ebay does not just take back money from the seller if the buyer is simply unhappy. There is a whole procedure that they go thru giving both parties time to reply and submit arguments. This is the second time that Ebay has received a complaint from 2 different buyers about the so-called 'rare genuine WW2 one man Henckel'. They now realise that you are dealing with a fake Henckels and not simply disgruntled sellers.

I don't think they are "Fake". I think these are just the new production Henckels with a BS backstory.

May I suggest that you see my post no 21 and refer to the whole of the previous thread that I started - http://straightrazorpalace.com...real-fake.html . You will see that some of the most respected and experienced razor restorers, some specialising in Henckels, say it is a fake. But even assuming that it is a real Henckels, just not from WW2, do you think it is correct ethical behaviour knowingly to give an false and incorrect description or a 'BS backstory' as you describe it?

Yes I was. And it was not a pleasant experience. I have seen one and held one! I wouldn't let that blade touch my face. What worries me is so many inexperienced buyers pay top price for this junk on Ebay, give good feedback for the seller, and don't realise that they have been ripped off with a USD 10 Chinese knock off.

You seemed to be the only one in that thread dead set that it was a knock off. The story seems likely to be bogus and that is a dishonest selling tactic, but I don't see anyone sure that it is a modern knock off(there is also the possibilities of vintage knock offs as well).
