I have ordered several times from Wojtec76. usually arrives in 10-14 days here in Iowa. Items are always well packaged and arrive in great shape. Keep up the good work wojtec76!!

My box made it to me just fine. I might suggest wrapping the razor cases in bubble wrap, then filling the rest of the space with newspaper. That would give a little more "shock absorption."

I just received the 2 razors hones and strop i ordered and they all look to be in good condition . I can't wait to shave with them

I received yesterday the package: 10 days from Poland to Italy.
Package is well made and nothing wrong happened to it.
- The razors (2 x 9/16 and 2 x 5/8) are in perfect conditions, no ding or chip and even not shave ready, they're quite sharp. I'll hone them just to improve.

- The strop: I got the linen/leather one, with really rough leather. I've read all the 49 pages of this post but still I haven't understood if I've to keep it as it is (Illionois style if I'm right) or have to cut and invert the inside-ouside, or I've to make it plain with sandpaper.
I don't like to paste them because I prefer paddle to paste, maybe I could use them rough for when I need an aggressive strop?

- Stones: got the white Arkansas (still packed) http://cgi.ebay.it/Original-Arkansas...QQcmdZViewItem. The page says it's 8000. I bought some honing oil (LANSKY SHARPENERS, Nathan's Natural Premium Honing Oil, it's the only one I found, hope it's not crap). Don't know if using the Arkansas or not, maybe after Norton 4000 (instead of Norton 8000) or after Norton 8000.

I got also the black stone http://cgi.ebay.it/Ose-ka-do-precyzy...QQcmdZViewItem, that I suppose is water stone. One side is like marble, maybe it's only the stand or a super-fine stone. The other side is like crawler tracks (is this the word for military tanks' "wheels"?, didn't find the Italian "cingoli" on dictionaries) and I suppose I must make it flat before use or I'll beak all the razors' edges.

Got also a really nice black Wilkinson DE (shame on me, I know, but sometimes I'm in hurry and have no time for rituals). Yet, visiting shaving forums I'm getting a serious RAD also for DE (got some Gillette SS, Aristocrat and Rocket from '40 to '60).

All I can say is that the stuff is really good and the seller is really a kind and honest person.

The black stone is a slate, and mine came with a slurry stone. I use it with water and a slurry; it cuts quite slowly, but is relatively coarse. I'd put it between a Norton 4000 and 8000, myself. I use the smooth side, or course, not the rough side. I think you word you may be looking for is 'treads', or tracks (for the running gear of a tank).

The Arkansas stone is very fine (and slow). I use it to finish, after a Norton 8000. I doubt that it would compare to a coticule or other fine finishing hone, but it is definitely finer than the 8k.

The strop, a plain one without linen, came 'smooth' and slightly shiny on one side, and rough on the other. The rough side is like coarse suede, and the smooth side has a number of minor creases in it (natural from the hide, not from folding in storage). My son, who is a saddler, tells me that the rough side is referred to as 'flesh', and the smooth side as 'grain', and that the minor lines on the grain side are actually scars in the hide from the life of the animal.

I strop using the grain side with no treatment or paste.

I had ordered a razor and a strop which I plan to leave unpasted and use as a travel strop. I liked the razor so much that I bought another one. These are easy to hone, strop and they shave like a dream. I would recommend these to anybody who is just starting out.

I was just wondering which was the honing side, and thought it was the other, even so rough (to be lapped) . Thx for the language hint, my Ita-Eng dictionaries didn't help.

I had originally planned to sell my Wapienica, but Firestart encouraged me to try it first... This thing is amazing. I love it, and I think it's my best shaver right now.

I'm going to order a couple more--sorry, it's hard not to be greedy when they're so cheap.
