Thanked: 44This is the second kit and it has a MINT 5/8 Edgar Allen Sheffield in round point. It has the Tony Miller red latigo starter strop with "SRP" embossed on it, Mama Bear shave stick in lavender pepermint, The Gentlemen's Quarter Bay Rum with Orange shave soap, Mama Bear mandarin ice aftershave balm, and the Vintage Blades custom Shavemac 944 in Pure Badger.
The next 2 kits are to come and I will post detailed pics of the razors when they are all done.

I just wish this had been avalable a year ago. You are really doing a service to a new shaver. You might even be spoiling them with those soaps. and a TM strop. once they get those they will be addicted. I know it kills me if I run out and have to use williams.

Thanked: 44Well Hey I don't want to give them junk now do I. With this they would never need to upgrade but I am sure they will just like the rest of us do on the brush and the strop and picking up more creams and razors. At least they will never look back and shake their heads like I do at my first sets.
Just a reminder, these will be finished tonight/tommorrow so I will offer them tommorrow night between 7 and 9PM eastern time. After that I will see about orders but if I can get deluxes done they will be limited and another announcement.
Florida Boy is on board to put lather bowls in regular kits shortly and full scuttles in the deluxe kits. That way there will be no crappy coffee mug lather!

Thanked: 44Going rate for the first 4 will be 150 plus shipping and I will still be losing money. I wanted you to get the best stuff out of the gate and do something nice. These brushes are alot nicer than originally intended.

Thanked: 44I am looking at doing orders of the deluxe kits but because of the quality of razor I am trying to include I will have to limit the number. I am also working on pricing that will stay for the forseeable future. Also Tony can only make so many strops in either style at a time never mind me and polishing out and honing razors. So since I am not going to be able to get the Shavemac SRP special for a bit (they have to design and build it and make sure i am happy) I will have to use a more expensive brush for a time. That means some more cost but they are worth it. At this time I am looking at using the Shavemac 944's like in these kits as well as the pure badger Rooney's in style 1,2,and 3 in size 1 and 2. I think I will use the size 1 Rooney's in the standard kit and the shavemac and size 2 Rooney's in the deluxe. Remember i have to buy these things for you guys (they are not for free and since this is a cooperative effort are usually at retail) and I only have limited funds to do so, so I won't have a factory somewhere pumping these out, just me around my job and family.
So to answer your question I will take orders tonight and will do my best to accomodate everyone. I will take care of everyone I can but the only thing might be how long it takes since I only have 2 hands. I don't want to leave any newbie out in the cold if I can help it though. This is a learning experience so we will have to learn how this works together.

Thanked: 44Razors are done! Here are the promised photos. The first two are the Bengall and a Edgar Allen which are both never used mint condition vintage razors and what I would put in deluxe kits along with fancy scaled, rare, or fully restored razors that are now minty. The second two are what would be the norm in the Newby kits I think. They are very good condition razors from top brands that shave like mad. I have not taken the tang to near perfect but I have the blades which is the important part. They are very cool and will make a perfect intro that you won't regret into the world of straight razor shaving. Each will be shave tested and will not be shipped till it passes to my standards which are high. These two are a 1/4 hollow Boker which I have ground the point back some for your safety and a Geo Wostenholm IXL razor. These are some of the best shavers you will ever find.
