I'm feeling a little sick to my stomach.....let me know when the mushroom clouds start so I can load my pipe and put some nice jazz on. I wanna be comfy before I go. All I ever wanted was a half acre of land, a roof of my own over my head and to die old and relatively happy. Is that so damn much to ask for.. guess it is.

"Respected 20 year Middle Eastern reporter and Associated Press, BBC and NPR correspondent Dale Gavrak was told by Syrian rebels that they were responsible for last week's chemical weapons incident. "
It was not an attack and actually an accident by rebels mishandling the weapons. 12 died at the scene of the accident and you know the rest. The rebels she spoke with claim the weapons came from Saudi Arabia. I have no way of verifying this info so of course I have doubts. About all the stories I hear I have doubts. Reason enough not to pull the trigger on anything.

That is an interesting take on it. Just wondering what the benefit to Israel would be to do that? One thing for sure all the UN inspectors may confirm is that there was a chemical attack but not who may have been responsible.

I think that is all populations in war zones really want also but nobody seems ready to let that happen sadly enough.

Fact is we'll never know the entire truth. Question everything, and don't just automatically believe anything the left or right tell you. If you do, you are a sheep. Don't be a sheep. Think for yourself and be a individual. I don't trust our government at all, and will vote independent for the rest of my life in hopes that the two-party system will crumble. I understand that if Assad indeed did gas his own people, then that's pretty messed up. If ignored, what will other countries think they can get away with?? But at the same time, I feel like we should not get involved... Every war that we have gotten ourselves into where we were not defending ourselves (Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, Afghanistan, and Iraq), it has hurt us.

Personally I feel the world should/would be behind going in ,securing and dismantling these weapons. Take no sides just make the world a safer place. If these two factions want to fight it out fine but being the responsible world power I would not interfere in the outcome. If I were in charge that would be my position. I would not send in bombs to blow up something that may float in the air killing everything in it's path. How much poison would be released into the atmosphere ?

Mark Twain once said, "It is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."
Too bad Obama's never read Mark Twain. But it's nice for him to play golf on our dime.

A bit of Levity from one of my FB friends..
If Obummer can play golf at least we can smile...

John Cleese has it about right:

"The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent events in Syria and have therefore raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.

The Scots have raised their threat level from "Pissed Off" to "Let's get the Bastards." They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.

The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide." The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender." The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France 's white flag factory, effectively paralysing the country's military capability.

Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing." Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides."

The Germans have increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs." They also have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose."

Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels.

The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.

Australia, meanwhile, has raised its security level from "No worries" to "She'll be alright, Mate." Two more escalation levels remain: "Crikey! I think we'll need to cancel the barbie this weekend!" and "The barbie is cancelled." So far no situation has ever warranted use of the last final escalation level.

In the end it is a tough problem to solve that would be costly in lives and money. Nobody seems to want to spend more money or see their kids and their neighbours kids die in another land. That leaves pious platitudes of moral outrage that is cheap and allows people to sleep at night. The added bonus in that you don't interfere directly in another nations internal affairs. What if the world comes knocking at your door some day threatening direct interference in your internal affairs?

    Gotta love John Cleese.
