Glen,
You raise a valid point. Media bias has portrayed a role in public opinion for a long time.
As information has become available at ones fingertips I believe the influence of the media has grown exponentially.
Oz,
I understand completely, I have waited for a different table at times because my sight line was not going to be acceptable to me.
No I am not paranoid I do believe in staying alert and being prepared.
Just as I don't set myself up for failure in other things in life, I don't set myself up to be victim either.
As I said earlier your best tool still rests on you shoulders.
Stay alert, be aware, if a situation or person makes you uncomfortable there is a reason.

Thanked: 13249I read that one from the Freepatriot off of FB Jimmy, but I had a hard time verifying the info when I looked for it through other sources I am pretty conscientious about checking these stories,,, The link is down right now, but I do not remember the article saying anything about the equality of race...

New developments on the forum I first harvested the link from ...... seems it may be a hoax. Referring to the report on the 60 year old woman attacked, and killing two of the assailants. The "knockout game" is real enough. One man killed in Hoboken, NJ recently when his head struck a fence, after he was hit. The 60 year old woman report seems to be unverifiable.
Just harvested this ........ I'm changing the title to the thread ;

I've just read the links and just have to sit down to think about such phenomena as 'Knock out game'
Hasn't happen in my country, but i really do not think that getting prepared for all kinds of threads would help. I say this as a long time serviceman; we do not live in a military zone. If we're up to face it some day, i do not believe even bazooka will save me if the shit hits the fan. I was thought that the best weapon to defence is your brains and the common sense.
I'd rather like to ask that where do these kids (adults/idiots anyway) get their models to do such a brutal acts? Shouldn't we all (individuals, society, media) teach and educate kids that life is sacred? Just my 2c.
Twisting this all to politics (although i'm not a xxxx about your politics) is a joke. You should rather think about how to make things better, together.
It's up to yours anyway. Must be nice to use the attacks like these as a political weapon.Last edited by Sailor; 11-23-2013 at 10:42 PM.

Thanked: 13249I find that article to be very suspect Jimmy this statement is the biggest bunch of double speak I have seen... "The Attacker insisted" well Duuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh I am pretty sure he did
Much news coverage of reported knockout attacks includes 2012 footage from a surveillance camera in Pittsburgh of James Addlespurger, a high school teacher who was 50, being swiftly struck to the ground by a young man walking down an alleyway with some friends. Yet the Pittsburgh police said the attacker insisted the assault was not part of any organized “game.”
“This was just a random act of violence,” Police Commander Eric Holmes said in a televised interview last year. “He stated that he was just having a bad day that day.” The assailant saw Mr. Addlespurger, the commander said, “and decided this was a course of action he was going to take.”

Doesn't happen in my County either, but then again that was one of the particulars of the "Game" they only seem to attack when they feel they have the best chance of pulling it off, much like any predator on the face of the planet.. Predators by nature attack the weakest at a time of their choosing anyone that has been in a high threat environment knows this... To attack an alert, and prepared target would be very dangerous for any predator 2 or 4 legged...Last edited by gssixgun; 11-23-2013 at 10:45 PM.
