Thread: The Knock Out "Game" - Fact or Urban Myth ?

Changed the title to this thread, as it appears that the "facts" surrounding the reports linked below maybe suspect.

If anyone is out around city streets watch your surroundings. The 'latest thing' amongst some segments of 'society' is unprovoked attacks in which the perpetrator attempts to knock out the victim, a stranger, with one punch. Glad I live in a state that allows concealed carry and do so at all times. I can't quite understand a young man showing what he apparently thinks is bravado by punching an elderly women. Things have changed since I was that age, we used to beat up on each other.

I am getting an error on the link.
That game has been going on for a while and it is getting worse, along with the teen mob attack stuff.
It is a sad state of affairs.
I have carried since I turned 21 and do so every where it is legal, your best tool is still the one sitting atop your shoulders.
Keep aware and don't go places known to be unsafe if it can be avoided.

I have read about this happining In my area,Have any of you been sucker punched? I have,not in a robbery attemp but long ago in a bar.
I was down and out for at least a minute.
If your carrying,when you come to your senses,not also will your wallet and watch be gone,so will the gun.Hopefully the perp will not use it on you.

The trick is to be aware of who and what is about you. Anyone even looks like they might be a threat to me I'm going to be more than ready for them. Not to say that I would pull a firearm before it became necessary but woe to anyone who is going to try and pull that crap on me. I'd rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6.

I had a girlfriend who thought I was strange because I sit at a bar with my back to the bartender if there isn't a mirror I can see behind me with.

The worst part of this is that it has only just very recently been added to the MSM reporting, you have to ask yourself why since The Knockout Game / Polar Bear Hunting / One Punch Game is old news if you knew where to look..

In the last couple of weeks you are seeing reporting from even the far left leaning NBC, of course that was to run the story of the perpetrator that barely got away with his spine intact after being shot twice by his intended victim.. The story centered around the poor little darling who after admitting that he had only hit 6-7 people in the past, realized that he was sorry and that he didn't realize how dangerous the game could be, until he was shot.. He got 1 year BTW

Agreed 100% Jim,In your state it would be perfectally legal to stand your ground,but a sucker punch can put you down and out in a heartbeat.
It happens to young, well trained LEOs all the time,they get overpowered by some meth or crackhead and get shot with thier own gun.
CCW tends to empower people,they feel safe and omnipotant,I also think It could work against a person.
