Ow...Jager...can't do the Jager...bad memories. But It sounds like you have the basis of a much more sophisticated drinker than you think, Justin.
Some people are like "Rum and coke" not knowing or caring what they are drinking. I could give them grandad's ol rottin' balls rum, aged three minutes and they'd be like "wow, this is the best drink ever!"
Keep it quality man, and keep it Bourbon. And to think, I was once a bartender that didn't drink at all...

There are so many good variations of the Long Island. Have you tried a Tokyo Tea? Basically a LI with Midori and substitute 7 up for coke.

Hey Brendon, what would you reccommend for Bourbons/whiskeys ? Any simple drinks you can pass along?

Well, I'm a big fan of Knob Creek and the occasional Bookers (126 proof). I like mine with coke too . My coworker can drink Bushmills (Irish Whiskey) till the cows come home (do the laundry, bake cowpies, and anything else that cows do). I'll have to think about others. My everyday bourbon would hae to be Beam Black (a bit sweeter and smoother than beam).
Simple Drinks? Tell me, what's your flava? Sweet? Sour? zesty?

Bunnahabhain - a single malt Scotch Whiskey from the Isle of Islay - but it's really the nectar of the gods - in fact, if it wasn't 10:00 on a Sunday morning, I'd have a wee dram right now!

Bunnahabhain - if you register on their site, they've got a nice 'flash' overview on their production
Evan Williams - a 12-year old, vintage single-barrel bourbon - a mighty fine sippin' whiskey.
Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage - this is one for sittin' out on the porch swing on a pleasant summer evening. I'm currently lovin' my way through a bottle of 1995 vintage.
Yes, thank heavens my days of the technicolor yawn, kissin' the curb and praying to the porcelin god are over. Now, I just sip and enjoy the good stuff.

    -whatever

    Default no... scarface drinks?

NO.... Scarface drinks?? who'd have thunk it?

As for the "Technicolor Yawn", it don't happen to me.

I've drank an entire fifth of vodka, rum, tequila, you name it in a 80 proof variety several times in the last 12 months without any noticable negative side effects.
(other than one that the wife was quick to point out)

I also seem to have developed the ability to remain fully functional and to all appearances only moderately drunk even after downing 12-20 drinks in the course of 3-5 hours.
I discovered this "talent"(I know, not really) when looking through new years pics. "Wow honey, look at the tits on (friend who flashed camera who I will not name) ! Where the hell was I when this happened?"
wife " You were taking the pics"
me "Really? Huh.... don't remember that..."

Since I became aware of this occurrance I have been limiting myself to around 12. At least I got a pic !!!

    One might think so.

Actually I tend to be much more reserved when intoxicated.

I'm glad you took it with the humor intended!
After I posted this I thought it might be misunderstood as mean spirited.
