Y'know,it may not be the most intellectual thing to say but it's still true that for everything the left throws at the right it/they should look in the mirror. It amazing how all this Trump trashing goes on and yet what , Hillary is teflon and is pure as the driven snow ? Really? So rather than sling all the bad things about her,....how bout listing her accomplishments ? Fine, the right is nuts, racist, gun toting ,white christian low intellect and wrong wrong wrong etc. etc. fine you've bashed that to smithereens. All rightist are clearly wrong . So let's hear about this lady of sweet virtue and how righteous she is? Floors open........

Hmm my take on Hillary is that whatever popularity she recruited politically has less to do with her achievements in public office and more to do with her hubby Bubba's popularity among Dems. Regardless of Bills scandalous presidency, Many view his administration as a successful one. I think her supporters are projecting his achievements into her or at least feel he will have some influence. She by herself comes off as a the most uninspired candidate of all time. I think many see her as just power hungry, ambitious, insincere political hack that has the apparent ability to switch accents on the fly depending to what part of the nation she is addressing.

I believe many folk feel this pressure to walk on egg shells when it comes to what they might say or converse in their daily lives. It doesnt feel right for many that might notice the difference from days gone bye. I think just a little bit that Trump tapped into this sentiment of "why cant I say that and who the he'll are you people anyway."
Couldn't agree more. In a different thread I made the comment something akin to "the PC movement has created a culture of pansies to afraid to speak their minds" and had a few on here go bat chit crazy over it. So be forewarned that you might stir the nest by suggesting what you suggested although I COMPLETELY agree with you.

Perfect example of going a little to far with the PC movement. Remember the days when you were in grade school and had pretty kool old guy as the janitor. Well not anymore, he's a custodial engineer or environmental engineer now. Still pushes the same broom and covers puke with saw dust or cat litter. But he's still a kool old guy though. There are a million and one examples just like this to illustrate my point.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. MODERNIZATION OF TERMS RELATING TO MINORITIES.

    (a) Office Of Minority Economic Impact.—Section 211(f)(1) of the Department of Energy Organization Act (42 U.S.C. 7141(f)(1)) is amended by striking “a Negro, Puerto Rican, American Indian, Eskimo, Oriental, or Aleut or is a Spanish speaking individual of Spanish descent” and inserting “Asian American, Native Hawaiian, a Pacific Islander, African American, Hispanic, Puerto Rican, Native American, or an Alaska Native”.

    (b) Minority Business Enterprises.—Section 106(f)(2) of the Local Public Works Capital Development and Investment Act of 1976 (42 U.S.C. 6705(f)(2)) is amended by striking “Negroes, Spanish-speaking, Orientals, Indians, Eskimos, and Aleuts” and inserting “Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islanders, African American, Hispanic, Native American, or Alaska Natives”.
It passed unanimously both cameras of the U. S. Congress.

Good bill or bad bill; a waste of your tax dollars or money well spent? Did members of Congress cave to 'political correctness' or are they b=trying to be decent?

Or C, trying to get their names on something for posterity that really is a nothing in the grand scheme of saving our country to say that they accomplished something while in office.

Let's say Billary gets to be president.....and Congress is Republican. Will she get anything done? Will anyone get anything done? Same thing if Trump got in...... Congress doesn't always go with what the President wants. (Unless the President issues executive orders...which is BS mostly) Lot's of inflated egos and worrying about being elected again are the problems with most politics. I say bring out term limits! 3 terms for the House and 2 for the Senate.....and then you are out! Cut the pensions too! Save the taxpayers mucho dollars!
Is it over there or over yonder?

It's a bill that's about to become a law, it doesn't really matter what were the motivations of those who created it (a sort of Scalia type textualism). At the end of the day what matters is whether it has positive or negative effect.

Seems like you are saying it has no positive effect, which amounts to negative because the time, effort and money on it is wasted.

So ask yourself how does changing a few labels, that a vast majority of country have no clue exists, improve our nation? What is it going to change that's going to make such a massively huge difference in our lives that we will forever be changed and justify the expense to do so?
