The pictures are both of target arrows. For those I prefer an arrow that "disappears". It is already shot and not going to hopefully influence my next one that is in my control. And then I hope that my subconscious is controlling that....

A blue fletching is my favorite for hunting. In my area there is not much blue in nature and especially during hunting season. Many people think it is an odd color to use but it sticks out like a sore thumb.

I also made a tile floor for a customer that wanted something out of the ordinary. I came up with this idea and he liked it.

I finished this little sheath today for a vintage Craftsman hatchet that I rescued from an antique store a couple years ago, I think.
I still have not learned to tool, even though I tried with this sheath, but had to toss it.

    Thanks for looking,,,

Nothing wrong with that Hirlau, looks good. I tool leather once in a while but to do good work I have to be in the right mood for it.

Thank you for sharing , don't thank us for looking!

Your skill level is above mine, although that might not be a compliment........

Without an edge shot I am wondering if you used 2 or 3 layers of leather? I wouldn't want to cut that nice looking stitching!

It has a 1/2 welt around the three sides to protect the stitching,,,so its 3 layers stitched,,, I'll get an edge shot up before long

You can buy stamps & repeat a pattern till you get your tooling perfected.
I did this basket weave with one small stamp.... many moons ago.
