Yep, especially if you haven't had any in awhile, they'll taste even better. Believe it or not, my dog even loves strawberry cheesecake. Anything he sees me eating, he usually likes it. If it's good enough for me, it's good enough for him.

Grocery shopping (or being in any large store) bugs me to no end. Folks stopping to stare at the things on the shelf as if they're going to find the secret meaning of life there in the cereal aisle. You get fruit loops every week, grab the box and GO. Folks walking at a snails pace - particularly ones younger than me (I don't get impatient with elderly folk, they've earned the right to be pokey). People blocking aisles to piddle with their phones.

I've gotten to the point now I only go to 24 hour stores around midnight when they're about dead unless there's no way to avoid going earlier.
I have done the same thing as far as going to 24 hr grocery stores. Do your shopping late at night when everyone else is in bed & you can usually get everything on your list since they usually restock the shelves at night when it isn't so busy. And yes, if you eat Fruit Loops or whatever, grab & go. That's what I did when the woman did what she did. It's so funny when people look through the corner of their eyes thinking you can't see that. It was the shampoo & conditioner aisle & she was looking at some makeup or something on the opposite side so with the pole being there behind her. I knew what I wanted & the brand so I just left my cart there, went & grabbed my shampoo & went about my business. I don't have time for people to hold up others while they're trying to get through. I also agree about those who want to bring their whole families shopping or they bring 10-15 kids, those stores aren't designed for that many kids to be with a parent or even both. Each one is distracting the parent with something they want, yet those parents think there's nothing wrong with it. They need to be getting more sleep at night & they wouldn't have so many rug rats out of control. Just about everyone that goes into the store grabs a grocery cart & then comes along mother goose with her flock!!!

I was driving behind a woman today (she looked perhaps 45 ish so not a youngster) and she was all over the road. I decided I had to put her behind me for my safety. As I passed her I saw she was playing with her phone. This was on a major beltway around a major city during a busy Saturday afternoon. Hokey smokes Bullwinkle, are you nuts lady? Goofing around with a smartphone while driving is really a national epidemic, and it has to be stopped. It's more than dangerous, it's downright suicidal - and you may take some poor unfortunate others with you.

I broke down on I-75 in Georgia once and had to get a tow. I drive a German Import and have the 200 mile tow package from AAA. The nearest dealer for my car was about 180 miles away, so I got a long ride in a tow truck. A very BIG tow truck, the kind that sets you up about 10 feet in the cab. After a while, I notice we're handily passing cars. Odd I think. How fast is this driver going? So I ask him, "How fast are you going?" He says, about 65. Really? And we're easily passing so many cars on a major highway in a 70 mph zone? So I start looking at the people in the cars we're passing and I notice they are ALL playing with their phones and not paying full attention to their driving. No wonder we're passing them so easily. The tow driver told me he sees this all day every day.

That really alarmed me. I am usually driving and don't get a chance to peer into cars I'm passing, especially from a high vantage poit. Makes me want to trade in the car for an armored vehicle.

You did right by putting her behind you if she was all over the road. March 1st of this year, the small city in which I live made cell phones illegal unless using hands free. It was in the school zones only but they made it for everywhere within the city limits here & I expect others to followup with it as well, especially Houston which is where I'm just outside of. I have still seen a couple of people on their cell phones but since they feel comfortable doing it, hopefully they will pass a cop sitting somewhere waiting for someone to run a stop sign, red light or speed in a school zone & get caught. Like you said, it has become a national epidemic. They aren't aware of what's going on around them & that's dangerous!

When I go on eBay & some bidders put in consecutive bids one after another to try & scare others into not bidding when most of the time they only add $1 to their next bid & will have anywhere from between 5-20 bids in a row.

I can't stand ESPN's K-Zone, the slightly brighter superimposed rectangle representing the strike zone that they continue to use during live play. It's absolutely distracting and makes it difficult to pick up the break on the pitches. Plus, they flash a light where the ball crosses the plate or hits the bat, you can't even see the real contact with the bat. I want to watch baseball, not a video game.

Speaking of ESPN,,, I'm tired of the "Over Coverage" on women's beach volleyball every Olympics.
I'd rather they add more coverage of women's pole vaulting.

    Aloha!

Another big Pet Peeve for me is paying for Cable TV. The reason is that what I seem to be paying for is COMMERCIALS.

We have Oceanic Time Warner in Hawaii (the only game in town) and you really need it if you watch TV because Hawaii is so isolated, but most of the stations are half commercials half entertainment or news. If it were not for the DVR (so I can record and then later FF through the commercials) I could never watch movies on AMC or Sundance channel. I love both of these channels but the commercials are absurd. A 2 hour movie is 3 1/2 hours because of the infestation of extensive commercials. And a long movie like "The Godfather" is approaching 4 hours with commercials. That's ridiculous.

I have Amazon Fire TV and can watch that more than I watch cable TV, and I have often thought of just cutting the cord and getting grid of cable, but then I'm stuck with 6 local stations and I would probably feel too isolated. Plus SWMBO actually loves the sports package as much as I do. I love watching Baseball and she likes everything from Horse Racing to Hockey, so cable is a necessary evil. But the commercials.... whew. They drive me crazy because you are paying big bucks for cable, and then subjected to a constant barage of commercials on top of your monthly fee.

oh and while Im at it... Dont clean the counter tops, stove top, or any other surface with the sponge that is used for the dishes and glasses! "oh let me clean up this grease on the stove and the juice spilled on the floor... then I'll wash the fork your going to put in your mouth and the glass you're going to drink from." really?

This always just kills me! What a waste of time, material and postage! I'll get around to depositing it here sometime just so they have to process it.
