When someone is doing something wrong & it's actually against the law so when you tell them they are wrong, they say "that's your problem".
It isn't my problem, it's actually their problem & they have another problem, mental issue's!

Thanked: 3795It drives me nuts when people sit in their car while pumping their gas. In my state it is the law that you "attend the pump." Also, you have to shut off your engine when you are pumping gas. That too is the law.
I don't care if it's cold, you stand at that pump with the engine off.

Actually, The biggest danger in car refueling is lack of attention and..the power door solenoids sparking! Idiocy does play real part though!

Thanked: 3795Yeah I once saw an auto shutoff fail at a pump dumping at least 20 gallons on the ground till I showed up (parking far away) and yelled at her to get her a$& out of the car and shut it off. I watched her go in yelling at the cashier that she was not paying for it. I jumped in and said you pumped it you pay for it. That gave the cashier just enough spine to tell her to pay or they'd call the cops. I thought they should have called them and the fire department given the hazard she created

I see this sitting in the car while fueling all the time. Well, sense that's where I spend a lot of time I guess that's a no brainier. Ha. I've warned people and they don't seem to care. Or the guy talking on his phone while fueling. Static is a big thing when your at this elevation and with dry weather. People just don't seam to understand. Or if they do, they don't care.
I had a guy that I wanted to slap in the head just the other day. This is something that a lot of folks don't know about so I just warned him at first.
ALL gas stations have vent pipes that goes from the tank to up in the air 10ft or so. Sometimes they are on top of the canopy and other times they are just three steal pipes sticking up out of the ground. This guy was having a smoke and heard the check valves on top of these three pipes hissing. He walked over to them to see what it was. I politely told him what was going on and he just said Oh' OK. But kept standing there having his smoke. I then yeld at him from 50ft away telling him to "get the hell away from those pipes with that cig". Guess it then sunk in.
Some people.It's just Sharpening, right?
