My grandfather had Scarlet Fever and the whole household was under quarantine. My uncle Harold would take food and other supplies over, leave it on the porch and mom, her sister or mother would wait until Harold had left before going out on the porch to retrieve it.

Mom used to talk about seeing her dad sitting by the wood stove, being beat red from head to toe like he was sunburned.

Just dropped my wife off at DIA (Denver International Airport) this morning, then got home and saw that they were cautioning people that they had three confirmed cases of measles come through the airport a few days ago. Pretty sure that my wife had measles as a child and I know that I did but...

Anyone see the movie 'Contagion' I though it was pretty good and very educational.

I was going to refrain from posting anymore due to the controversy but here is a video i would like you to consider. There are many different positions on vaccines from none at all to giving them to everyone without question even if by force. This doctor (a geneticist) who is not anti vaccine makes some interesting points.

I've been reading this and watching it grow. All I'm going to say is we have had a warning on all the stations around here of 3 children that were not vaccinated and were on a plane that landed in Denver. Now the kids are in the hospital and everyone who might have been at DIA is being warned to go be checked out if they have any signs. DIA is so big and thousands go thru there daily. I see Vic beat me to it. Hope all will be ok Vic!

I don't know anything about the doctor or the claims against him(i have to admit that they make him sound like a crook). I have heard several testimonies from scientists/whistleblowers who's careers were ruined and work discredited by the big Pharma because there research would destroy them. I am a firm believer in the potential evil of people especially when big money is involved. Big pharma doesn't have a perfect track record either (think the opioid crisis).

I agree about big pharma but this has nothing to do with it. You have these folks running around out there stoking these anti vac fears and you read what they write and they sound very convincing but when you closely look at them and the evidence they present you find the errors and twisted facts and that's why so many of them are no longer in the field they once practiced.

No different than all the folks who think Fluoride in water will kill them or mercury in dental filling will kill you too.

My city of Walla Walla doesn't add Floride, but it's naturally occurring in the water here.

Everything is poisonous in the right dose or dentists wouldn't take so many precautions handling mercury.
The right dose can be very small if someone is sensitive/allergic to a substance.
