Thanked: 56If you're wondering I'm probably being sarcastic.

So I've signed up to get my vaccination about two weeks ago. Still waiting to get a appointment. Unfortunately I think I'll be waiting awhile because of my postal code☹. Of course I work in the hot spots traveling from region to region, fixing lift trucks at customers that have had active cases recently. Crossing my fingers that I get it soon

Thanked: 56Dose 2 of Pfizer is done. In a couple of weeks I wont be able to covid shave; just doing the parts not covered by a mask.
If you're wondering I'm probably being sarcastic.

Yeah it seems the masks will be gone soon except transportation and hospitals. We got an email yesterday saying we will still be using them and honestly from now on I am planing to be masked while at work, at least when I am interacting with patients.
Other good news, covid numbers are down and we will be shutting down our covid hospital as of May 27th. Next weekend are my last day shifts there.

Although the mask mandate has been lifted for many situations in my area I am still required to wear one.
This is basically unenforceable so I could probably get away with it.
My issue is that I believe that I have a natural immunity since I have already had Covid.
There are no hard facts on the natural VS immunization immunity or the side effects of either at this time because the time frame has been so short.
I do see the argument that the side effects of the shot might be less than the disease if you haven't had the disease yet.
I personally know three families that have gotten covid after taking the shots. Still not good and they stayed out of the hospital so far but then again they are younger families that probably wouldn't have gone to the ICU in the first place.
One big question I have about the herd immunity thing is that around here anyway they say that herd immunity will not be reachable until 70% of the people have been vaccinated.
What about counting the natural immunity of people that have had it already?
This is all so still up in the air!

I have been watching a few places like this one and the numbers are getting lower.

As a general rule they reflect the situation. Notice I said general!
One thing that I have noticed is that people tend not to get sick or die on the weekends.....Last edited by 32t; 05-16-2021 at 02:22 AM. Reason: oops forgot the link

They say the numbers are dropping in the state, but in my county they are holding strong. Up and down as usual. My boss says I must wear a mask when going into stores to drop paperwork on the counter so Im ok with that. Its only for a minute.
