Why would anyone bother with reading the obits when you can read such uplifting passages from the bible?

If I didn't know you better Bob I'd say that was snark-asm.

Ecclesiastes is a masterpiece of ancient wisdom. Solomon very eloquently discusses the futility of misplaced priorities and encourages us to make the most of the limited days we have under the sun.
Everyone is free to do as they please but I just have always been an optimist; pathologically so. There are just too many blessings in life to spend time focusing on the bad.

Just an anecdotal story about how fickle covid sickness is:
My niece (one of those not blood relative/family friend nieces) got covid and was "sickish" for a while and has mostly recovered without much incident. Her fiance got it from her and is in ICU. Forgive my non medical professional description as I am just repeating.what.the wife read to me from the face book. He has been on a ventilator. Also they have had him on an ECMO machine. His heart has stopped more than once. They have backed off his treatments and he is not coming out of his coma type (I guess) state. They have inserted a tracheotomy in hopes that they can ween him off the ventilator. He is also having to have dialysis.
They are both in their 20s and healthy. You just don't ever know how it is going to be.

You're in the ocean swimming with others and you see a shark and he swims right past you and attacks someone further away. You are in a plane crash and only you survive.

Sometimes there is an answer for these things but most of the time it's just luck or an absence of it.

With Covid we know weight is a risk factor as are certain other health conditions but sometimes even folks who are perfect specimens of health get deathly sick and some die. Some day we will know why.

Until that day comes the best practice is get the shot. If you don't want to for just about any reason you are no different than someone playing Russian Roulette. At least with Roulette you have a one in six chance of death. With Covid if you are exposed and not vaxed you're chances of catching it are much greater. How sick you get is the kicker.

Heard on the PA system at WalMart today, an announcement that anyone can come to the pharmacy and get their first or second shot of Covid 19 vaccine no appointment necessary. Yea, it's free too. Absolutely no excuse not to get vaccinated.

But what about the microchips? Now if you'll excuse me I have to go get more tin foil. I've been seeing more black helicopters than usual.

A thinking man would wonder WHY a perfect product that works so well and is free needs the incessant schilling that we see across all media....

Why would a prefect product need Blanket Immunity from legal repercussions

Why would a perfect product need the lure of Beer, Donuts, Pot, $1Million, heck now threats and mandates to sell itself

Medics are learning more about Covid with each week that passes.

In the UK, it appears that one in four of those that have been hospitalised by Covid have suffered permanent damage to internal organs. This is across all age groups.

Why some are badly affected and others asymptomatic may take years to discover.

'Choose Your Parents Wisely' is probably the best advice. For those that can't - innoculation.
