Thanked: 557If I were a bitter, cynical person I’d suggest to all the folks who do not wish to be vaccinated and are actively anti-mask and anti social distancing and anti-lockdown, that they joyfully party together and that they not go to the ER or the ICU should they happen to fall victim to the virus.
However, I am not such a person and I will continue to social distance and wear my mask to protect you from any virus I might be carrying. And my ICU nurse daughter will continue to treat you when you become ill and cry over all the young ones who have no pre-exisitng condition who perish on her watch.David

Well you saw it in this thread. You have just been brainwashed with this Vax mania being pushed and by that no good pole cat Fauci guy who lies and wants to see you dead. Masks? You know they don't work. It's common knowledge. You should throw yours away and party with wild abandon.
I mean, what's more important the economy or a few hundred thousand lives. Once you see the light it's all so easy.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

There is a T.V series that was originally on TNT and is now on Hulu called "The last ship". It's a five season series and details a worldwide pandemic that wipes out 80% of the Human race. (300 million dead in the U.S alone).
Similarities to our current issue? I don't know but it shows the true face of humanity and just what humans will do to each other in whatever name they want to call it.
It's action packed and Navy orientated and a good view for binge watching. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

I would really like to see that but sadly, not here in Canada.
It's not on Netflix or Prime and we don't get Hulu so I guess we're stuffed here for the time being.
I could use my VPN on the computer to appear as if I'm in the sates but the wife and I sit and watch telly, I don't want to sit in front of the computer watching shows.- - Steve

The Book was written in 1988 by William Brinkley a good read that has nothing to do with the TV adaption which is also very good
Even better is the One Second After books by William Forstchen they are one of the best series for the theory "We are but 9 meals away from Anarchy" highly recommend if you haven't read them.."No amount of money spent on a Stone can ever replace the value of the time it takes learning to use it properly"

Thanked: 3228Yes sir there is an all fired rush to get the economy back up. So you can sit around waiting for the global supply chain to get moving again so you can actually make something?

Damn! You guys need to get out more. I'm going to read the obituaries where there's a ray of sunshine.
"Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun-- all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom."Iron by iron is sharpened, And a man sharpens the face of his friend. Thanks Glen, I got The Last Ship, One Second After, One Year After, Final Day and just in case i really like William R. Forstchen I lined up 48 hours too.
I read my kindle in bed or when I'm waiting in the car for half hour or so when the wife tells me she just has to pop into a store and will only be a minute.
I am usually a huge Ken Follet fan but I'm looking forward to finishing my current read so I can start The Last Ship.
Lucky Kindle ebooks can be bought and downloaded instantly eh?Last edited by STF; 07-10-2021 at 08:01 PM.
