President Trump is way out of his depth.

To make the statement that the war would never have started if he had been President and that he could stop it in one day indicates just how little he understands about Putin's mindset.

The politicians in Western Europe shoved their collective heads in the sand when Putin invaded Crimea. President Trump is correct in saying that most of the nations making up NATO have not been paying their way.

The only way this will end is for one side or the other to achieve control of Ukraine. President Trump has spread a lot of disinformation about the strategic and tactical performance of Ukraine. Russian tactics and weaknesses have been exposed and exploited by Ukraine. Three years ago Putin thought he was going take control of Ukraine in a few days.

Instead of appeasing Putin, Trump needs to knock the European leaders' heads together, work out some kind of weapons and finance deal with Western Europe and Ukraine and impose massive sanctions on Russia. Then let Ukraine get the job done.

Remember the US didn't help Great Britain financially in WWII for nothing. We paid the last installment of our war debt to the US on 29 December 2006.

    .
I posted earlier about a NATO country and their actual readiness
It just happened to be the UK, I wasn't looking, it just popped up that day on one of my feeds

That day it was estimated that the UK could field 25 Battle Ready Challenger II tanks another 50 within 60 days IIRC

Please tell me again what Western EU is going to do ???

You all are posting old outdated info, I for one can't take you seriously unless you at least TRY get better sources
There are several new articles about why the sanctions were not only a failure but actually were helping Russia. New sanctions will probably not have much effect either

The EU has had 3+ freaking years to get into gear, you haven't done so, only a very few countries have realized that Putin doesn't fear NATO
See above about Germany saying Trump is right about 5%

Please stop saying the EU is going to help when only 4 EU countries are above 3% the UK is barely above 2%

The threat of war is on YOUR doorstep and you still ain't getting ready, no wonder Putin isn't listening, that is on YOU not Trump

Trump warned NATO in 2017 to get it together...

ps: Why would you bring up the WWII debt ??? you take out a loan you pay right ???
You join NATO and agree to the cost you pay RIGHT ???
I am asking because it has been suggested here by a few that the US should just be the piggy bank you all can keep tapping

And yet, as he said there were no new wars while he was president. You guys have got to learn that you can't just say it and it becomes true. ONCE AGAIN forget about the chatter and the media pulp and CHECK THE RECORD.

You know, I'm reminded of Bill Johnson the American Alpine skier who competed in the 1984 olympics in Sarajevo. I remember seeing him on TV saying something like "in the final round I'm going to be the one to watch as I will be the one to win it." All the European establishment was agast and offended. After all an American had never won gold on the giant downhill...but he did it. Was he an arrogant braggart? Sure he was. But that doesn't make him wrong. Just because you're brash doesn't mean you're wrong. Maybe it isn't nice and pisses people off but that still doesn't make you wrong.

Dont forget, if any nato country gets involved in Ukraine, that doesnt mean the US will follow you. I can repeat much of what was said here. But will make one point. Europes military weakness invites aggression. "We stand with Ukraine" but we will send you warm blankets and croissants, no arms as we dont have enough for ourselves.

Once again, you compare sports to world affairs. Bragging in sports and bravado is the way it is. Mohammad Ali was famous for it. Much of it is looked at as theater. What Trump does ain't no theater. When he says something you had better believe it. Too many in this country including "the media" have never understood him.

Who is it that misunderstands world affairs really? Remember a little charade called The Cuban Missle Crisis? Point of fact, the entire Cold War was theater. ALL politics is theater.

Not only that, the last Joint Session of Congress and all those chinanagins the dems pulled was like Monty Python : theater of the absurd.

The Cuban Missile Crisis a "Charade"? What wack job conspiracy idiot's got your ear? I clearly remember living through that and most of the country both left and right didn't know from day to day whether it was the end for all of us.

Deals were made between Kennedy and Nikita Krushchev, many we are only recently finding out about.

Har har Reagan. He's the guy we all get to thank for our economic mess. Remember trickle down economics? How's that little ditty turned out for you? Don't forget the "World Economy". According to Big Ron all those terrible factory jobs will leave the U.S (along with the good pay and union benefits) and move to Asia. But don't despair boys and girls because they will all be replaced by high tech and great high paying jobs and we'll train the factory workers to fill those jobs. How's that worked out. It gave us "The rust belt" and all those workers are now working in Walmart or McDonalds enjoying their great pay and benefits.

Yea another great production brought to us by the GOP.

Maybe our current fearless leader can outdo him. He's on the road to.
