Along those same lines, I was told by my parents "Surround yourself with great people; they'll pull you up to their level."

Louee, it's so true. There are so many situations where it would feel great to be an asshole, burn a bridge, or just quit (I'm in one of those right now...), but the ability to just suck it up and keep going has always been the winner in the end. What cracks me up is my missus is almost exactly opposite. She's perfectly willing to do what feels good- like burn bridges. What really gets me though is it has turned out well in the end almost every time. Why does she get all the luck?

Well this is more like a saying I guess, but thought I'd share coz it is so true.

Procrastination is like masturbation. It seems like a good idea at the time, but in the end your only Fing yourself.

Because she has a calm guy to rely on as a foundation. It's easy to take chance if a level headed person has your back.

Well, I see how you might feel bad about procrastination later, but....

    Same thing I know.
as someone who spends a lot of time dealing with physics, I can explain this:

as we all know, light travels faster than sound. thus, some people appear bright right up until you hear what they are saying.

    Nice

Evidently that's too short for a post, so I'll finish with great advice from a great man: Mr. T

Don't be a fool, wrap your tool!

I like that one a lot...you gotta love wrestling coaches. Wrestling is a wonderful sport for kids in my opinion, it really teaches self-reliance and perseverance.
