Hobbies & Such ...
Old cars / motorcycles and their restoration (past toy was a 1965 Corvette convertible ... currently it's a 1940 H-D Knucklehead), WWII re-enacting, firearms - especially class III & WWII stuff. I wish I had more money to do more international travel - I've enjoyed Italy, Belgium, France and Switzerland. Straight razor shaving (obviously). Reading > history, non-fiction, novels, science, historical novels, philosophy. Also enjoy learning languages (at a rudimentary level), listening to "old time radio" on satellite radio (especially the Crime/Cop and scary stuff ... Dragnet, Suspense, Innner Sanctum, Johnny Dollar, etc). For fitness I cycle and play masters (over 40) soccer ... it's a kinder, gentler game, and I enjoy hiking and camping when I can. My kids are 13 & 15, and I enjoy traveling around the Southeast attending their competitions ... cycling, triathlons and soccer. In the past, I enjoyed coaching kids soccer, and imagine that once I retire, I will get into that again.
Thanks for the question, Lynn ... good stuff on here.

These days, my other hobbies are mostly martial arts (ninpo and jujutsu) and learning Japanese. Though I'd have to say the former is more than a hobby to me, and the latter is going at a slow but steady pace.

Riding bicycles (the kind you pedal) , both road and off road single track, honing straight razors and fooling with the guitar. In that order. I also enjoy reading and listening to music. Oh, and I have taken a liking to perusing SRP.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I've spent years with fixing old cars and motorcycles, actually with almost everything that can be put in pieces and then back until i know how it works. Used to race RR when younger until we had kids with my wife. I also restore old furnitures and make some new. During last years i've tried to ignore electric tools when doing woodworks (whenever reasonable). Maybe it is just aging, but i enjoy doing this with old hand tools, knowing that i still have so much to learn.
I also enjoy reading and photographing. For the rest of the time off work i just walk my dogs.
I've traveled some in Europe; with car or motorcycle. Also spent years with Karate/Kobujutsu and scuba, but not any more.'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'

I have many hobbies in the past. I dabble in RC and have for years as well as most CCGs (collectable card games like Magic the Gathering) at some point in time. Most of my time now is spent helping my daughter and wife with their hobbies. Which I can't complain too bad because they are into antiques so I have to haul the burden of taking them here and there to every antique place with in a 4 hour drive on the weekends sometimes.

Rebuilding pre-1960 Ford trucks and Triumph pre unit bikes. Playing the guitar, building guitars (I am currently trying to replicate a 1931 steel bodied National Triolian Resonator), playing the drums, distance running, cycling, spending time with my wife, reading, working in the yard, having a vegetable garden, getting ready for the arrival of our son. Drinking beer and listening to either metal or blues. That's a good cross section.
