    shark.

But I can't just put 'shark' because it's too short, so you get this as well.

That's a tough one. My first thought is bear; One powerful blow to my head or neck and I'm probably unconscious or dead. After being dead, I could care less if the bear decided to age me and eat me gradually with a side of berries or decided to share me with every crow and maggot in the area. I would think the bear would try to kill me then eat me. A shark would indiscriminately just keep taking bites out of wherever would seem the most convenient until a bled out, drowned or the shark finally ate or severed something vital.

But, that would suck if the bear took the top of my skull off and then started eating my limbs and making a game of it.

I think I've thought about this enough now.

Bear, I think. I have a great fear of drowing so if I am being attacked by anything I would prefer to NOT have to concern myself with drowning too.

In any case it would be a better story than "he died of a massive heart attack due to a $50,000 a month prescrition drug habit." Thats right, I said it...

I'll take my chances with a Whale Shark, or maybe even a Sun Bear. Aside from that, I think I would like to pass.

COME ON MAN! WE NEED SPECIFICITY OR YOUR QUESTION IS JUST A VAGUE HYPOTHETICAL.
Aha, but you must be careful here, Mr. Smoke Esq. Let's define partially eaten as say a body percentage, or perhaps as body parts--like one arm and a foot, or perhaps half your ribcage. Not partially eaten as a factor of a single bite by a particular predator.

Would it really matter to you by whom you are eaten in that case?

If you are going to loose half your ribcage to a carnivore would it matter that they take it in a single bite (ala great white shark), or multiple bites served up dim-sum style (ala Panda bear, assuming he mistakes you for a bamboo shoot...)

I'l go for the bear... they tipically attack to the head in first place, there's where they think you've got your weapons (fangs), so.. one hit of his paw and I'm out, bon appetit mr bear

Bear, hands down. One swipe of the paw can turn bone into jelly. I don't imagine it would be very drawn out.

Sharks are a bit more indecisive...take a bite, swim around while you bleed a bit, consider whether you're really all that tasty, bite again......

As for "partially eaten"....shark. They do clean work. People I've seen who survived shark attacks have prosthetic limbs.

People I've seen who survived bear attacks need reconstructive surgery not to frighten small children.

I'd rather face the bear. I could at least delude myself I had a chance.
You too? We used to throw garbage off the fantail and when the sharks came we used them for .45 practice.

The bears by me are cute little fellas the females are around 150lbs and the males 250 or so. They would just maul you to death before they got serious.

personally, I'd rather be eaten by a Crocodile. It would be over very fast.

Crocodile eh? I'd read that death by croc would basically be getting your arm spiraled into several hideous breaks and then drowning.

On the other hand, I hear that once water hits your lungs you black out and thus don't feel the panic of asphyxiation.

You might be onto something there.
