Thanked: 586Now that it has been layed out in several forms, I have to say I find nothing even remotely amusing about any of this. In fact, the decision to snuff out a human life is nothing to joke about.
During the Cold War in order to stand any watch in contact with a nuclear weapons system, I had to be in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP):Personnel Reliability Program - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I was tested on my ability to "push the button" when I was a missile technician on the USS Benjamin Franklin. This wasn't an interview asking whether you had the chutzpah to squeeze one off on a crack head attacking your family. They laid out a perfectly terrifying scenario about a launch of 4 missiles detected from an unknown platform somewhere between Minsk and Vilnius. My ship has received emergency war orders to launch missiles destroying Riga likely killing three quarters of a million people. "Well Petty Officer Icedog, could you obey orders and release those missiles?"

I am "no party affiliation" now but I was a registered democrat for my entire adult life. I voted for our current President and if the election were held tomorrow I would do so again. It is a joke. I thought it was funny regardless of real world politics. Maybe it is more for gun aficionados ? Anyway, the intention of the OP was to get a laugh ..... not to begin an "us versus them" thread.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Silvertips ARE hollowpoints (and crappy ones at that)
better question would have been
hollowpoints or ball ?
and I don't think the joke is funny either

I hate to stir the pot any, but the "snuffing out" of human and animals lives has been a joke since creation.
Sorry, but I see no evil in killing someone if they are threatening you or anything you've given up time for or loved.
Hell, I even see the necessity for war. Yeah, it may be the worst endeavor mankind participates in but it also pushes us forward in technology and other new ideas, and if you want to get philosophical it reminds us VERY CLEARLY of our own humanity.
Yeah, making a joke about killing a terrorist may not be funny, but Obama passing a bill that doesn't allow our military to sell used brass back to Americans or laws that making shipping ammo hazmat and making it nearly impossible for ammo manufacturers to produce primers and sell their product to Americans is certainly much less funny.
Anyone can go on and on about politics, but it's usually just cries of hate speech and long philosophies and insults.
There's truth to both parties but only one supports the American way of life.

I want to start lifting weights heavy again, but I'm afraid I'll turn mean.
(did a test run and it wasn't good)
