I was tested on my ability to "push the button" when I was a missile technician on the USS Benjamin Franklin. They laid out a perfectly terrifying scenario about a launch of 4 missiles detected from an unknown platform somewhere between Minsk and Vilnius. My ship has received emergency war orders to launch missiles destroying Riga likely killing three quarters of a million people. "Well Petty Officer Icedog, could you obey orders and release those missiles?"

I assume your answer was an instant sir, yes, sir. And they also figured out that you could sleep and function afterwords.

I still don't see how this would prevent you from being able to laugh at the stereotypical weakness of the Democrat or the stereotypical excess of the Redneck.

I read through this thread quickly. I noticed things got heated when race was brought up and didn't see that anyone mention that the first post carried religious stereotyping.

Of course I could have missed it.

Characterizing a religion as terrorist and using their name for God as part of inspiring a fear reaction is the kind of joke that lies along the path to treating them as less than human and on the beginning of the road to concentration camps.(to use a little hyperbole).

Eh...not sure either the godwinned or ibtl are quite timely. Any use of the term concentration camp? Sure, it's getting there...but not purely a Nazi construct.

When I see Jewish, Christian, Jehovah's Witness, Hindu. Buddhist, Sufi suicide bombers I will tend to agree. Until then characterizing someone as an "Islamic terrorist" is AFAIC not an unjust assumption.
