Sadly, I think the number of people who still "mind", "mind" enough to really do anything proactively even if it would ultimately be a failed attempt to revert this IMO undeniable progression mentioned is a very small number.
Divide and conquer
Don't talk about politics or religion
Watch a ton of TV in your own home
Forget about knowing your neighbors and instead, fear them.
The list goes on and on.

"Aw, Pretty Boy, can't you show me nuthin but surrender?" Patti Smith

Thanked: 259here is the problem with thoughts like that. we do not want to be like other countries and just chug along. this is the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA not some communist/socialist trash. we are the great experiment and we worked just great until the last couple of decades when everyone started wanting everything for what they think is free. just look at the tax rates in those countries that are just chugging along. look at the survival rates for their health care as compared to ours. look at the restrictions they have placed on them by their type of government. we do not want to just chug along, we want to be the best and the greatest and fastest. we still have the potential for even greater things to happen. we will not have this if everyone has a hand out wanting more and more.

If we want to see ourselves as the best and the greatest we ought not compare our survival rates to theirs. Personally I don't need to be the 'best and the greatest'. That is the sort of mindset that led to empire building and to me that never benefited the world. I'd rather the world was united and helping each other than competing.
They may be just chugging along but according to the World Health Organization report here a child is twice as likely to die by age 5 in the USA as in Belgium. The stats aren't all that great for health in the "best and greatest" compared to many other countries that have universal health care in common.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
