Why am I out of order?
Israel is no different from any other muclear entity, in that noone wants to be he first to toss one on someone else. My 'nuke' comment was to jokingly indicate that Israel's (most certainly arafat's) hands are not clean either. My comment about Obama not yet having gone to war was tongue in cheek, and so was that one. Arafat has bloody hands, and about the only thing he hasn't done was nuke Iran, thus my comment that that would be the reason for the peace prize.
Noone in his right mind would throw a first nuke. Not Israel, and not Iran. They (Iran) may make a lot of noise, but that is no different from the cold war rethoric.

It is said that Obama got this prize for the expectations world has for him, not so much for what he has done this far. However this far he has put some efforts to bring back diplomacy, negotiations and co-operation into your international politics.
Now i'm not the great fan of Obama, but i think that he deserves even changes to do his job. Just like every man does. He cannot succeed if even his own countrymen keeps stabbing him from behind.

Might have missed it, but i haven't heard him saying such things. Yes he did criticize the policy Bush had, but surely not America or it's people. There is a little difference with that.
Of course you there in the States see things more closely and have better changes to see how he does in his office. Being a president of the US is a strange thing. While his primary task is to serve as your head of the state, still the rest of the world watches him also. Whatever his actions, they might affect the whole world. Maybe that is why he got the prize.
To me it looks that people supporting Obama have very heavy, almost impossible expectations on him while those against see everything he does as a work of evil. That makes your country look very polarized.
Do not forget that USA is not the only country having troops in Afganistan. I serve for the military and propably find myself there next year too. That is why i'm personally little interested about your foreign politics because it affects not only for the rest of the world but me and my family too. The best i can hope from your and our leaders is not to start conflicts they can't win before they had used all the changes to negotiate.
Have to repeat that i'm not a huge fan of Obama, but at least he has tried to put some efforts on negotiating and diplomacy in his foreign policy. Might still be that he is so lowsy in his internal politics as you say. You surely know it better.

Well, the circle is closed again, isn't it?
Democrat Jimmy Carter pis*ed of the Iranians which led to the occupation of American embassy in Iran and he gets the Nobel peace prize.
Democrat Barack Obama is trying to be nice to the Iranians and he gets the peace prize as well.
Noblesse oblige, let's hope Nobel laureate Obama keeps that in mind.
