So, how about addressing the original question(s).
Anybody good at reading comprehension?
Here's the rest of my contribution

So 'No' then.
You hate Gore. Gore got the prize. You hate the prize.
You hate Obama. Obama got the prize. You still hate the prize.
Don't get me wrong. I'm puzzled by the Nobel committee's decision too and would love logical a discussion on the matter, but such a discussion can't start with a logical fallacy. The best you can achieve is stroking each other's egos and tit for tat.

You are right of course. It is supposed to be taken seriously and we want it to be taken seriously which is why it bugs us when they give it to someone who has no qualifications that can be seen for the award. Give him a little time and he may yet have the needed qualifications.
When you want something to mean something it becomes a real slap in the face when it becomes obvious that it doesn't

You make a lot of assumptions here.
First, I neither said no or yes, I just did not understand the question. The wording made no sense to my ears.
Second, I never said I hated the awards, President Obama or Al Gore.
third, these are open threads that anyone can respond to no matter my own belief. I only wish to see others thoughts on the matter.

I have no opinion about Gore, and I am still thinking positive about Obama.
Still, I think the peace price has become a farce. Mark is not alone in that.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Thanked: 259al gore won the peace prize for his global warming/climate change, when there is not any true evidence of either. obama won his prize for wanting to change the usa for the better without having changed anything. do you see a trend here. it seems now if you just "want" to change something you will win, thus making the award completely and utterly a joke.

Not much lately. He was on the air a lot a couple years ago, but thankfully that faded. I am not going to comment on global warming here (food for another thread) but I always had the feeling that global warming was just his shot for fame after having lost the presidential elections.
