How do you know which God is the right God?

How does one explain God? It is a good question but I am afraid there is no satisfactory answer, as you either know or you dont know. God reveals himself to those who are willing. There are many who believe themselves willing and believe God has revealed Himself to them. these are the ones that are responsible for the atrocities of the crusades and the like, The extermination of millions of Jews, 9/11, And so many other wars and genocides.
When God reveals himself to you, you will know with a certainty. He will move you from within and you will understand things before you have proof, and when you find the proof it will confirm your understanding completely. A man who is led by God ( Notice I didn't say "follow God" )Is self contained. He needs no laws. He is self policing. He is the one on the crowded bus saying to the guy with the elbow in his eye with a twinkle, "Is my eye in the way of your elbow?" Neither aggressive nor shrinking but standing strong.
There are many who believe that God has revealed Himself to them but are instead arrogant and easy to anger. others yet shrink back from aggression thinking this is what God wants but in their shrinking only encourage evil and not Godliness, or goodness if you prefer.

So if you want to believe you will? I want to believe in a loving creator and an eternal blissful afterlife in the presence of God, but unfortunatly I can't, it doesn't make sense to me, and questions all ways boil down to, don't worry God knows what he is doing, but he couldn't even make man the way he wanted, so how am I supposed to trust that he does know what he is doing?

I would rather a God that make a mistake, than one who made man like it is on purpose.

I think God gave us free will so that we may love and follow Him of our own accord or go our own way as we choose. Is this not the ultimate in love ( giving us free choice that is )?

I think you're right. If you seek God, you'll find God.
If you seek Truth, you may find that too.

If you expect the Truth to include God, you're being presumptuous.
