You got me there! I admit it, I have never created a universe, and my little amoeba brain can't believe it was created by magic either.

Should I offer him some sort of respect?
I studied the bible every day and went to church 3 times a week for 6 years. I've faithfully put my time in. I even baptized people. I wanted the ministry to be my career. But I could not ignore some very disturbing facts. As much as I wanted to suspend belief, there came a point where I could not any longer.

I had studied much of the bible and had filled many notebooks with cross-references, bible quotes and other notes. But I hadn't begun any research on the historical man. I was sure there would be tons of manuscript about Jesus written by people who had known him. But when I tried to find it, I only found enormous gaps. The more I looked, the bigger the gaps got. It came to a point where I just couldn't ignore it any longer.

When I started to study the religions of that region at that time, it became very clear that I had been duped by a 2000 year old hoax.

I don't take this lightly. My search for truth did not end there. But my beliefs are much more firmly and solidly grounded now.

Or one of the myriad of other Gods that have been the subject of worship by millions of people?
