I've always wondered if there is any clear definition of either a liberal or conservative...and it seems that the only purpose associated to use of the term is for the one to draw negative association or definition to the other. Division instead of concensus.
Self-appointed representatives of any cause usually do the most damage to whatever they represent...and these would be that 10% of Wack-a-dos Glen refers to...Last edited by hardblues; 03-25-2010 at 07:19 PM.
Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

Thanked: 13247One other thing to always keep in mind when looking at "News" sources, They "sell" news it really is all entertainment, even the Internet, so naturally they are going to find the most entertaining from both sets of the Wack-a-do's
Somebody talking with a lick of common sense is not very entertaining, in fact folks, if you fall in my version of the world's 80% you are pretty boring and insignificant...

In general: in a two party system it seems to be quite typical (for both parties) to nullify and ridicule the opposing party no matter what they say or do. This is true in most countries with only two main parties.
When things become inflamed, for a reason or another, calling opponent names is just another way to prove that we are right and someone who is antichrist cannot, in any circumstances, do anything worth our support.
No need to take these online surveys too seriously. From the side or another.'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'

That is dead on accurate.
Here is the problem when either sides wack-a-do's are in charge the country is in TROUBLE. Right now it just so hapens the Left side's wack-a-do's are in charge. It's more than just Obama, Pelosi, Reed, Franks to name a few.
So this country which is more towards the middle (a lil to the right) is in MAJOR trouble right now.
As to the "Anti Christ" moniker it really is not too much (if at all) worse than the things said of Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan and Carter.... (well Carter deserved it) I just hate the Liberal's attitude that they can say anything about you but if you say anything about them you immediately are some thing horrible ie. racist, sexist, evil, clan member, etc.
I think it has to do with the Peace and Love generation that is of age right now.
In the infamous words of Rodney King.... "Can't we all just get along?"
btw........ Boo Obamacare. lol

Well, to be fair, in the case of Bush Jr., some of the things he said make one wonder if he believed himself to be a direct messenger of god. The opinions of most of the righty wack-a-do's matched up pretty seamlessly with his perception of himself.
But your point about the *general* liberal tendency to take PC and victim-pity to a whole new level rings true. I've never fit cleanly enough into the box to decidedly call myself a liberal, but left-leaning on some things, yes.
But this move towards extreme PC, to the point of intellectual dishonesty, is what decidedly moved me out of that camp. It's getting to the point where liberal cries of "bigot!" are being thrown around so carelessly and without provocation that they match pretty well with extreme conservative cries of "commie!" It makes pointing out *actual* bigotry a much more loaded and less successful task.
