Thanks Jimmy for continuing with me. As well for taking no offense. Or if you did, then thank you for getting over it so quickly. I know you are a good man as are the others who have made their voices heard here.

This has not been the question-how to be good. I am more interested in being a sage and saint. It does seem to be something of a struggle for most which is why i have been surprised there has been little to no discussion on forgiveness.

It would have been better had I freshly read those chapters in 1 Corinthians. It speaks further of exactly what you just described in context of sin.
I could try to say my words were imprecise, but i was headed more in the wrong direction to an extent. I still think he really means that All things are lawful to him(that has the mind of christ) but there are some he just will not do, (and will not be brought under the power of any law)

I was really headed in the wrong direction, but when I woke up this morning I was thinking more about two people in the same circumstances for one it is sinful and the other not. For instance great wealth. The sinner being the one who's identity of self is tied to the circumstances.

but then there is a parable about that.

Now if you guys think I'm just fishin' for an argument you are wrong. But it is time for me to go fishing, being only a fisher of fish i have a couple spots where I must be as it is not easy to catch walleye from the bank in oklahoma. and I am hungry after what could have been a difficult day if i was the same guy as a few months back

There is absolutely no mention whatsoever of "sin", in all of Genesis 3. Not an allusion, not a hint, not even a whiff. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zero. It's simply not there.

"Knowledge", however, is a different kettle-of-fish. In this case, it was of the most basic kind: knowledge of one's self -- of a "self" which was separate and different; a "self" with external needs and status.

Self-awareness. It sure makes things difficult; but it's not a sin.
You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

Without forgiveness there is no good news. It is a given, in more ways than one.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
