am i the only one who feels disappointed?.. i would have liked to have seen him arrested and stand trial for his crimes.. seems to me he got let off easy.

Too bad. I was hoping he could have been captured so that Rush Limbaugh's suggestion from a few years ago could have been done. Now I don't normally agree with much the man "with intelligence on loan from God" has to say, but I liked the idea of capturing him, performing a sex change operation on him, and releasing him into the general population of a prison.

Nah, he could have still been the spiritual leader if he was still alive. I doubt any significant attempt was made to keep him alive.

The best to be done is probably just try to learn from the history of humankind. But that's a whole other discussion which we've had number of times in the past as well...

Not wanting to incite a riot here, but just remember that one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter. The death of which, is never an end of anything. Another 'freedom fighter' steps forward to become your terrorist at some point along the way. Just look at how many American 'freedom fighters' have died to bring down this well known Taliban 'freedom fighter'. See where I'm going here?!
That good feeling of vengence is not a long lived thing...The Arabs have been at war for centuries in one way or another, and it has solved and resolved nothing except to hone their patience for retribution.

The only history he was concerned with was that of the caliphate. For him and his ilk only wiping them out will do. They would gladly slit our throats with out batting an eye and with no philosophical discussion entering into it.
