It's amazing how we've been trained to ostracize anyone who mentions the word 'conspiracy'. By its simplest definition, a conspiracy is "an agreement by two or more persons to commit a crime, fraud, or other wrongful act." Who could argue that worldwide governments aren't guilty of this? Is one a 'nut' because he believes there is a one world government coming when his very President admitted this over 16 years ago? Is he crazy to question governments when they start moving strategically in a manner which serves to remind us of how past civilizations obliterated liberties for the common individual and gave sweeping, tyrannical power to only a few?

This 'zombie apocalypse' idea, I believe, is another faint chisel at our society's sobriety when it comes to their situational awareness. If we discredit, discount, dismiss, or even make light of the warning signs around us or those who are doing the warning, or if we substitute fiction for an answer for the innate awareness that SOMETHING is going on and SOMETHING is coming down the road, we only encourage ourselves to drink the cool-aid.

On a lighter note, and at the risk of sounding hypocritical, I'd like to say, 'excuse me', while I go make some more foil caps.

There has been ( at last accounting) aver 1.25 BILLION rounds of .40S&W JHP purchased by various/for agencies. Interesting that they are purchasing jacketed hollow point stuff AND in such large numbers. Hollow points are verboten for use in war per the Geneva Convention.

Latest thinking is that these purchases are sort of a latter day Iran/Contra type deal where we are shipping TONS of ammo to Al Queda. Yes I said AL QUEDA, our supposed enemies. Al Queda helped dump Gaddaffi, and they are now in Syria at our behest, yet we have to get felt up in airports to protect us from AL QUEDA TERRORISTS!

In addition to the so called "PATRIOT ACT" ( great name, CRAP law), we had the signing into law of the NDAA. ( National Defense Appropriation Act) Catchy name there too. It effectively guts the Posse Commitatus act. With the passage of the NDAA, the military can now be used against the citizenry amongst other things.

I am concerned about what happens in Germany. I'm MUCH more concerned about what they think is going to happen here.

Law enforcement agencies in this country (Federal anyway) have been using jacketed hollow points for at least 25 years minimal. My agency last used solid points when I was a young man. They always stock up. it's cheaper in quantity you know besides, most agents aren't such good shots anyway-har har.

Only the Good Lord, myself, and the SOB on the receiving end know what I load my stuff with.

@TBS, I'm well aware LEO's have been using soft point/JHP stuff for nearly ever. I won't argue that most can't shoot their way out of a paper sack. However, the sheer total size of the recent purchases is simply mind boggling. That works out to 4 rounds of .40S&W for EVERY man, woman, and child in the US population. It is also said there is pretty much the same numbers of 5.56MM and 7.62MM ammunition being purchased as well.
Factor in the large number of portable body scanners and mobile, armored pillboxes being purchased and stockpiled by TSA.

Excuse me for thinking ahead a bit, but it damn sure looks like SOMETHING big is on the horizon.
