amen and i fully belive that the civil war should have had a diffrent endpoint. states would have had more rights to chse how to govern its people instead of federal, on of the main issues that sparked the war was people wanting there state to have more control instead of the federals, im just north of the mason dixin line nad the spirit of dixie is still alive here, and done south you would swear the war is still going on people are dead set on the dixie way of life.

And remember: no foreign trade, because there will be a blockade. Tech companies will quickly die off because they won't be able to sell their stuff. they also wouldn't get important electronics like CPUs and thing like that. All important wafer fabs are someplace else.

No Sweat;
1. Tech companys will sell to Mexico, as they are doing now.

2. Blockade ?? Hell, we can't even stop the drugs floating into the Texas coast; we have been trying for 30+ years.

3. Wafers ?? Now that's just plain silly. I can get a large box of wafers from Wal-Mart for $2.78.
Wafers?? Really Bruno!

Thanked: 8If they do secede then they need to pay back the USA for the monies put into the roads, refunds of Federal grants for schools and universities. No more Pell Grants, student loans etc. Withdraw all military bases along with the military protection as well as collateral jobs. I think it would cost Texas a lot of money to secede.

Actually El Paso is in New Mexico. But then again most Texans would glad give El Paso up anyway and frankly we don't want it either.
We used to go out with DEA and check the Amtrak when it stopped in Albuquerque. We had our fun with the passengers. We'd approach them speaking spanish and ask them for their passports and tell them they be in a heap of trouble being in a foreign country and no visa's and all that-har har.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero
