BTW I'm not the "Mick" who mentioned the acrylic for scales. It might have been Geoff (Havachat45) - he's a great resto man.

Stu!!! awesome huge investment with the oven.... can see myself bringing batches of blades and a sleeping bag for some great night time heat treat sessions.
Andrew - i will make myself free any weekend that suits everyone. Just need a little notice to book it off whichever of my jobs it clashes with.

Adam, your not wrong. The freight for the US alone is enough to curl your eyebrows. That being said, I'm pretty excited to be doing my own heat treat.

Just ordered a Chosera 1k and DMT 325, so another couple of items to play with at the next meetup (read... I've now got some more stuff I'm going to bother you all with and have you teach me how to use lol)
p.s. Mick... If you still have any of that acrylic that you kindly offered to share with all at the last meetup, I'd love some for a set of scales for an old GW wedge if you still have some.

To help clear up confusion I had some acrylic to offer at the last Brissie meet up. With all the Micks there, it was easy for a new person to get confused on who offered what. It definitely was a good meet up.
Happy to send you some scales or maybe arrange a meet at your place or mine and you can choose a colour you like. Could even assist with basic shaping and such. Send me a private message if this interests you.
Meet up in July - dates suiting me at this stage are weekends 19th & 20th or 26th & 27th.
