The people in power are now trying to stop the blackmarketing of weapons and weapon parts by bringing in tougher border controls. It won't be long before we need a passport to leave our own state of abode.
You don't live in the wild west, we are the ones who live in a soft form of dictatorship...A Nanny state where the people must be protected from themselves.
Not hard to do in this country as we have two classes of people here, the majority that live in cities, see any form of firearm or knife as an evil murdering tool, and the minority that live in the country and know that guns and knives are tools to be used and respected.
Guess who has the biggest vote! Not that it would matter really, as the politicians do as they please, but the voice of protest is easy to drown out with those odds.

The baseball bat only becomes an illegal (offensive) weapon, if you use it to hit the bloke who just broke into your home at 2AM... .
I currently have two Rapiers and a Buckler under the bed, a Cutlass beside the bed keeping a bloody great Nulla Nulla (Aboriginal War Club) company. I like a little variety in my life...

Nah mate, not me! I don't have a problem with weapons of any kind...I love 'em all. Just don't have anywhere else to put 'em.

It's kinda the old saying "When they outlaw guns only outlaws will have guns"
What I remember about Port Arthur was that three days after it had happened two policemen knocked on my door to tell me that the licence on my childhood air rifle had expired. And, surprise surprise, the registration fee had quadrupled. Thus began my not entirely harmonious history with the AFP regarding prohibited weapons.

Hey Mick, what kinds of rapiers do you have? I have a Hanwei one which I quite like.

A pair of Spanish hilted ones from Esford Armory. I believe they may be Hanwai...Don't honestly know mate. One is for practice and the other will draw blood...More easily than the first anyway. I use to learn fencing, but that has been a while now.

All of them??? Geez, I'm not sure I have enough floor space to take the photo. Give me some time, but I will try and do a photo shoot tomorrow. Otherwise it'll have to wait another day or two to get the next opportunity.
    Now. Where's that step ladder?!

Cant import any folding knives into victoria now, almost no folders of any sort on global gear now as a result, only whatever they had left in stock, even they can not import them anymore.

So possably a massive problem if you purchased a nice razor from overseas now, customs may decide it was too much like a folding knife and decide to keep it, big cash waste.
