Hey Substance, that's 0.1kgs !! That would last ........a long time. I guess the only question is purity.
Some folk are pretty fussy about their oxides, I look forward to your report Sir

yeh 100g of each sounds like a lot but my thinking was that the average crayon or paste is around 1.5oz / 50g @ $20 AUD without postage,
so $30 AUD delivered for both is a bargain
so if I mix it at the recomended ratio of 1:1 with a medium it is still only 4 x 50g lots of each,
which will be some to preload a couple of paddles for my nephew & myself with both Ferrox & Chrox for each of us with 1 lot each to maintain our paddles,
then I am sure I will bugger some up working out the mix and mediums etc but will see how we goSaved,

Thanked: 1587A quick google site search didn't show this one up (and I'm too lazy to search this thread to make sure I'm not doubling up on info...)
My wife bought me an alum block and some shaving cream from the Nundle Exchange Store.
They've got some interesting stuff there generally. The shave equipment is limited, though I'm eyeing with some interest the sea salt soap...

Jimbo I am no soap expert but don't bother with the sea salt soap I have the same stuff I got from a local shop thinking it would be good
My summary is "Beach foam"
The smell I don't mind but it does smell & taste like salty Beach foam
The lather still after several attempts is thin & bubbly and breakdown quickly as the bubbles pop like Beach foam
I have used cold & hot water letting a brush full amount of water soak into the soap while I showered then about 30 seconds of building on the soap with my Edwin Jaggar best badger brush
then lather building in my bowl & directly on my face
niether way gets any better realy and it is still like you guessed it "Beach Foam"
So I have I passed it on to my young lad for use with the cartridge razor as I doubt it will clog it up even.
might make a good body soap??
regards
DSaved,
to shave another day.

Here's something for the Port Adelaide folk. Looks like a good supplier of shave / grooming stuff and the review of
their barbering skills is pretty much excellent....
