+1 for Shave Shack
Good service, fast shipping, and, to my knowledge, the only place selling the awesome Fitjar soap in Australia

Thanked: 983Well I wouldn't go bandy-ing that particular term around regarding this bloke, but Oz (Onimaru55) in Sydney is a dab hand at whacking an edge on a razor. You start applying those big german names to him, and he might get a swelled head . And we can't have that, no sirree . Also someone that may be able to help is Legion, but I'm not exactly sure if he's in Melbourne or Canberra these days...Or neither of the aforementioned.

Thanked: 0Cheers Mick, actually I don't think I need anything special, the Razor is new and I just want to make sure it is shave ready. Would really prefer a quick turnaround. I might try my local barber, he may have a clue.

Thanked: 983How quick a turn around are you after, I reckon a return express post parcel to Oz might get you your razor back within about three days (depending on Oz's work schedule 0f course.) Just send a PM to Oz to see what he can do. A new razor with a factory edge will most likely need a better finished edge to it, and it isn't a great, time consuming task to achieve that. It will need to be done though, I know from personal experience. I also know Oz will put an unbelievably sharp edge on a razor, again personal experience. I don't know how many barbers would still have the required skills to hone a razor in Australia, but you never know. Try the barber, as there is never harm in asking.
