It's no Boone and Crockett but here's my son's first Mule Deer! He'd bagged a couple of White Tails including a 4 point but he's really proud that he finally took a 'mulie'!! HA!!
It's a 2X3 point and 'barely' legal here in WA State but it really was a big poundage buck!
Also he used a pre-64 Model 70 Winchester in 30-06 that was my father's. Several years before his death he got to thinking about his mortality and wanted to give 'special' things away while he could see others enjoy them so he gave me the Winchester. I did the same and gave my son his grandfather's gift to me!
Here's a very nice 4 point that my friend took a couple of days before! He had offered to take my son hunting on his property/took his trailer and 4 wheeler/helped Connor with his deer in the field and then cutting it up!
Sorry but I didn't clarify about Joe taking his 'trailer' he took his very nice camping trailer up first so they would be able to have a place to eat and sleep instead of losing hunting time driving back an forth then used his four wheelers trailer to haul the four wheeler to his property to help with the hunt to haul the prizes!!
I do hope the Blood on his hands won't keep this picture from appearing as I seem to have lost the other field pictures!!!Last edited by cudarunner; 10-21-2013 at 03:50 AM. Reason: Clarificaton!

Well guys, I envy you all.
Here in QLD I have just completed the mandatory weapons safety course and joined the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia to be eligable to apply for a gun licence which can be a six to twelve month wait. Then we have to apply for a Permit To Aquire a firearm which then starts off yet another wait. I now regret letting my firearms licence lapse after 30 years!
Anyhow, I look forward to getting back into sports shooting and hunting with my teenage daughter next year who has shown a keen interest and has a steadier hand at the rifle range than I do. Must be getting old and wobbly!

Questions!
1 How many did the critter kill?
2 Did it dig under your wire?
3 How are you going to make a Coonskin Cap when you've cut the tail off????
Sorry about #3! Seriously what about 1 & 2??Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.
