Last year after 7 years [I haven't kept a diary and know 100% for sure but it seems longer!] of trying I got about half dozen apples from this tree. I dang near cut it back and grafted some different stock to the roots. I was even wondering if it was an apple tree!
If I trusted my grafting ability I would have done it.
But this year WOW. If one blossom in 50 grows an apple I will be very excited.
It is 48'F here today and rainy. The rest of the week does not look a whole lot better... In the neighborhood there are other apples but they are just starting to bloom.
We will see in a month or so.
At least there is hope!

Once, I was in a farmer's market talking to a guy selling apples...
"How's the apple business?"
"Let's put it this way. I wish I had gone into the drug business."

Well I 'Think' that I'll get to post the first 'Crop' from the garden.
I've never grown strawberries before but I don't think it will be long until I get my first taste

Bees started showing up at the bird bath this week. Just a few now. Later I'll get a pic when there is standing room only. I placed Mason Bee and butterfly houses near the garden last year.
What's a good bee ID book? I want to see if I can identify the five that show up.

No bees , No hornets, No yellowjackets, No ladybugs.
We have 1 or 2 Bumblebees and wasps.
When the beekeepers drop off their rentable hives, I will take a picture of the padlocks they have to put on the hives.
Yep its like that here.Your only as good as your last hone job.

Thanked: 13247Near perfect timing today.
Got in the Tomato, Cucumber, & Pepper, starts today and caged, one small row of Blue Lake Beans, then tossed the remaining bags of the old seeds into the rest of the garden and raked it in, what grows, grows
Got the Fencing up, put the Tractor away and a nice gentle rain started hehehe
