I think it's Japanese eggplant. We got three little plants in early May and they were labeled "Little Fingers Eggplants" but when you Google image Little Fingers Eggplants they look a lot smaller than these. We've grown Japanese eggplant before and that's what these look like to me anyway.

I'm in a similar place as Ernie 1980. Our yard is really shady and the spot where we placed the garden nust doesn't get enough sun. June was a really dry month here and a tree fell on the garden too. The squash and peppers are showing promise, though. I'll try to get a pic this evening.

Thanked: 39I think next year will cordon off a square of my garden and grow some strawberries, those look mighty fine!. Right now I have some heat resistant tomatoes growing, 6 canulope plants grows (2 hills of 3), 4 crocked necked squash growing, and some Oregano and Thyme growing in one garden, the other garden has Hot banana and sweet Banana, with a jalapeno peppers in it with a Brandywine tomato plant that is just budding out, so far this summer all it done is grow tall. My spring planting I grew cucumbers, straight necked squash, Rutgers and Celebrity tomatoes, I like the Heirloom tomato plants because to me they have a better flavor to them. Oh, yea I also have Green, Yellow and Red Bell Peppers growing.

Congratulations on the nice looking harvests! I will regroup and plant a large fall garden that will hopefully make up for my non harvesting summer one
