At cruise, much quieter as the muffler is twice the size of the thrush. Start up and idle, definitely lower rumble less tinny sounding.
Punch it at speed and she’s loud still, but lower. Not sure if any muffler is quiet enough when you punch it, or even should be really, hell, you are punching it!
Install wise I like it, original style hangers, all welded to the frame and exhaust, then the whole shabang repainted black. Removed all that old brass petcock fuel bypass stuff for me, and cut a bit of the new frame I made as required to really make a nice install. Sits maybe an inch lower than my oil pan now and I can live with that..
Gonna take the misses out for supper to get her opinions.
Then maybe in The Weeknd get some footage.
    Cheers gents.
Sounds good! I was just wondering how many shekels it set you back---I know that you'd said something about the initial price of purchase ---but---

All CDN so deduct 30% but $600 in parts, a grand labor.
Seemed high for the labor but their equipment was needed and it’ll not need doing again,.

I used to do custom duals on a Corvette for 250.00 out the door. It was the early 90s but damn.

I had a '67 Jeepster in last week was running badly. Took it around the block and it crapped-out. Off to the side of the road.
Turned the key off. peeked under the hood. Nothing had fallen off so....Back in and as soon as I turned the key on, BOOM the muffler blew. Turned out to be points and condenser. Took it to the muffler shop. Super simple job. Little universal muffler.
180 bucks. Would have been 125 last year. 'flation

Stainless with mandrel bends is high. That seems above high.

Damn straight. I overpaid, they overplayed, took their time. I wanted them to so I pay for it. Gave them a 5 star yelp and only complain, tongue in cheek, to my fellow razor whores.
I drove it today to work and really do like the tone. Do magna flows change or get deeper in time when they carbon up? Mufflers used to do that before catalytic I thought.

Washed her up today, first time since the new top went on. I find her fairly leak proof. Withstood half decent hose pressures and only got water at the corners of the dash, where expected!

Washed the tonneau as well, and had a hard time getting it on as it too shrank up a bit after washing.

Taught like a drum, but good tight, not too tight.
    Very little flutter while moving.
Happy with the progress. And it was a great night for a drive.
