A day delay. Needed to wait for isolation mounts so no car till tomorrow. And of course my garage opener decides to die tonight. Went past open, kept opening, and now bound up tight and humming.
So, take the time to tear into that and figure out what failed, likely the open limit and or capacitor now.
Or just replace the unit outright with a new Bluetooth friendly smart home kind..
will run a couple hun for any half powerful one but still……
Would be nice that it detects me approach and just opens. Kinda fancy like and also will send sms messages if the door opens while I’m away.

a 1951 mg that is bluetooth compatible.....

I am the exact oposite. I removed the batteries for the key fob of my Ram truck becauseI got tired of sitting at the computer and accidentally unlocking it.

Im also not much on the smart home stuff. I had the issue of hitting the alarm button on the remote. It woulg go off if i sat wrong so i opened up the remote and put a piece of paper over the graphite button.

I just got out of surgery again. My thumb repair didnt go right so i just had a joint fused. Its all numb right now with the nerve block they did. Only time will tell if it went well. So back to one handed again.

    Sorry it didn’t take Jerry!
Fused joints reduce mobility which would be awful.
Hope you heal quickly my friend.
Regarding the smart home, mine is already set up well. The car won’t be the trigger, the phone will be, but yes Noddy is the only 51 with Bluetooth compatibility round these parts I bet, hehe.
Got a couple invites in instagram to join some car shows already. Lil green beast has been noticed round town,,

Remember the scene in Ferris beuller when he drops off the car and they take off in it?
Wonder if that’s happening to me as they needed till the end of today to finish her off and suggested I leave it over one more night..
Since it’s rainy today and I am slightly over half way done the garage I said ok, but makes ya wonder.

Sounds pretty convenient for you anyway. They likely started something else when they ordered your parts.
