My Cogeco internet was fine yesterday too but my cell phone is with Rogers and that was just a lump of plastic and glass with a battery that did nothing yesterday but sit there taunting me.

Rogers was affected, and their subsidiaries for almost a full 24 hrs. Quite a gaf somewhere. I look forward to finding out what happened.
And ya Tim, it would be nice if the main screen was completely removable easily but alas, 2 converging angles on perpendicularly opposed rotational paths with an intersecting central axis, well you know what that means,,,,

All in all I think it is impressive, and you have done a great job. I think this might be one of those things that you forever tinker with, kind of like a beach truck.

So that means it is not easily removed?

Yup, only frame and all, as one complete unit and it’d take two peoples every time.
Time it would take would be an hr maybe each way. But then you would have to store it somewhere safe and not be able to use the top until the windscreen was reinstalled again so be at the mercy of the elements while away.
I see why they opted to go the way they did with the design, and from in the cabin you do not notice the folded windshield as you drive, just the beautiful unobstructed views and sounds.

Well seems the Tinker gods were smiling on me this weekend and I was able to source a potential transmission project for the winter.
Locally, nothing under $1500, but on line a unit from Edmonton for a 5th of that minus shifter and bell housing, neither of which I will need as both get swapped out in the conversion.
For the gearheads out there I provide the gear ratios below between what I have, a tr3, and the various Toyota iterations out there.

There’s a lot tied to hp, and peak torque curves etc but because my engine has been tweaked to the 130 hp range, I can easily drive this car in 4th or 5th with all the torque needed.
Another neat bonus is I believe, based on the measures that the TMC trans shifter will sit exactly where my extended shifter sits currently, so I will be able to remove the extra linkages, as well as my slave clutch post upgrade.
Finally the TMC is a short throw shifter and has a first gear synchromesh that my current does not.
All in all, I believe I will be going this way as my next, and likely final big upgrade.
But will truly bring her into all modern traffic conditions readiness.
Won’t stop me from enjoying the rest of this seasons as she is, but I can plan for a hell of a 23 Driving season with some trans border jaunts thrown in.

Finally in the shop getting its exhaust. Pick it up tomorrow after work and we shall see then how much it’s knocked back.
Another driving vid to follow gents as I’m getting much more reacquainted with the shifter and the car over the last few days..
    Frikkin loving it tbh !
