The original centre dash cluster for a 51 TD!
    Very happy with this find.
Want this car to look it’s vintage but not ride like it.
    Cheers.

And a very friendly fellow on a Volvo conversion forum shared an original print with me.

This jpeg doesn’t do it justice, but it’s a 1:1 scale hi res pdf file which I had plotted out at work.
Lay this on some plywood, perfect new dashboard template.. even has the Mg sanctioned fuel gage location tagged to the left of the speedo.
Going for something like this I’ve decided.

May not have the exact gages and ignition switches but the layout will follow this design.
Getting things lined up now gents..

May you have great luck finding parts and carbs!

Super Sport Morgans did indeed have a hood bulge to accommodate air cleaners. I restored two Super Sports many years ago. A well executed bulge looks cool & nasty.

My father in Law, may he always live in my sons smile, asked if I’d prefer a Rolls, or a Bentley to carry my bride on her magical day.
    My choice was easy..
I also did body repairs & a world class paint job on a right hand drive Bentley the owner had bought in England. Shortly after it was done the idiot owner elected to sell it.

The Morgan bump is a lovely teardrop on the bonnet for sure. Mine was not so flowing so I’m excited to move to new carbs of a narrower profile. Thinking Mikuni’s now with custom jetting matched to the upsized demands of the bigger pistons.
I will be keeping the original hacked side cowls so may revisit the hump and hack it off for a dedicated side cowl for running trumpets out the side now and then.
When it gets to body work and paint I plan on practicing forgotten skills on the spare cowls anyway,

Remember the Opel GT with that bump in the hood? A lot of people whined about that but I thought it had character.

Just a thought, Mike, but you might want to put your logbook of work onto a thumb drive, too.

    Great idea.
I plan on archiving the entire journey.
This fun video has the most humble of starts. Totally loved it though.
