Thanked: 586Hey Ben,
Basil is a very fun dog. His attitude and playfulness are tremendous. At my last job at Philip Johnson's Glass House The Philip Johnson Glass House I somehow triggered an alarn which caused an armed response from the normally sleepy New Canaan constabulary (I think they only move to arrest David Letterman's stalker). Basil and I were near the Glass house when three cruisers rolled up on me. Six cops jumped out and very quickly deduced I was an employee and not a threat. The youngest cop looked more UDT Seal than suburban police. He fell in love at first sight with Basil. The svelte officer began grab-assing with Basil and after about twenty minutes reported to me, "That dog is a machine, that's what that is".

Cool dog and cat!
I have a Samoyed (dog) and a Bombay (cat) named Dima (Dmitri Donskoj) and Scarlett. Dima is still a puppy, but has started his training for the ring (beauty contests). I want to see if he would enjoy pulling...a full grown Sam can pull 2K+ on ice/snow. I can't imagine a team of 6...eek!

Very nice Wirebeard. What (or who)is "Scarlett"?
There are many samoyeds in the IWPA (International Weight Pulling Association). Some of them do remarkably well. Do you have a harness yet?

Basil is ready for the cold weather. He likes his sweaters.
He shops at Orvis http://www.orvis.com/store/product_d...d=10569&bhcp=1 . The dog sweaters there fit like they were made for Basil.

Does he spin his tires a lot while he pulls? Or does he get enough grip to keep his traction? Fine looking dog by the way.
